Traingate

The silliest thing about the Corbyn "Traingate" fiasco is that before the railways were privatised, I often had to sit on the floor toing and froing between Preston and Edinburgh. Sometimes there was no buffet car. And the toilets were often disgusting.

I guess Corbyn didn't travel by train much back then hmm

However, the trains I travelled on usually had more space for luggage than current Virgin trains.

I felt really uncomfortable watching Corbyn reading all those notes, and before I am gunned down yet again I am concerned that he had to prepare in advanced, he even read his notes when speaking of disarmament , he has been on this topic for years, why notes? He needed Shami to pass him notes when he appeared before the select committee, I criticised him for that but to need notes at a hustings

Iam 64

Watch this space. There may well be many good Labour MP's deselected and even I find that a travesty.

Anniebach. How can he deny it? Is the Electoral Commission site a hoax?

This sums up the view many have had for months now.

POGS, he did deny it

POGS my MP has been threatened via his Facebook page, called a backstabbing *** and told he should resign or be de selected. He is an excellent, hard working MP, seen about in the constituency regularly, very active on local issues. His background is parents who worked in mills, he became skilled worker, and came into politics via his union.
Yes, that's right, a right wing, back stabbing ***
What happens when Corbyn wins the leadership election remains to be seen.

Galloway started respect after his expulsion from the Labour party. In the interview I posted he said Michael Foot and Benn fought against his Expuldion in the house and .Vorbyn from outside the house.

I know for sure Michael retired in 1992

I believe he had to sit on the floor, and that the empty seats on the video were either reserved or he couldn't get to see them because there were so many other expletive standing or sitting on he floor. Good for him, I say. It's disgraceful, the way the trains are so overcrowded. Especially being as the fares are so high.

I quite like Jeremy Corben. smile

jinglbellsfrocks Thu 25-Aug-16 21:13:56

(I haven't read the thread, or followed the story much)

jinglbellsfrocks Thu 25-Aug-16 21:18:46

What is "Momentum"? I have never heard of it.

whitewave Thu 25-Aug-16 21:18:54

You can tell it is the silly season! I have never known so much hot air over such a boring subject. Aging politician annoys a tax dodging entrepreneur. And on and on it goes. Almost as boring as the Osborne Omnishambles that went on and on a few summers ago.

Anniebach Thu 25-Aug-16 21:19:23

Jingle he lied , how come there were enough empty seats 45 minutes later so he, his wife and his team could sit together . It is said a family were upgraded to make room for him, must have been a very large family

Beammeupscottie Thu 25-Aug-16 21:23:27

Ageing politician sets up scam to embarrass Virgin Trains.
Corbyn lied about not having seat and had himself filmed sitting on floor! Blimey, someone been asleep for 48 hours!

Anniebach Thu 25-Aug-16 21:23:28

But a leader of a party telling lies to the country cannot be dismissed as silly whitewave, certsintly not a leader who wants to change our politics to a kinder, honest

This story is the little acorn that will grow into a hanging tree.

Ana Thu 25-Aug-16 21:37:07

'...so many other expletive standing or sitting on the floor.'

Yes, that sounds about right! grin

jinglbellsfrocks Thu 25-Aug-16 21:38:16

It's been policy on some train lines for some time, to let passengers move to first class seats when no seats in ordinary class are available for them. It wouldn't have been just one family.

jinglbellsfrocks Thu 25-Aug-16 21:43:24

If you mean me Beammeupscottie, not asleep, just staying at rather an exclusive hotel in the beautiful New Forest for a few days, and couldn't be arsed to bother with minor news stories. smile

Anniebach Thu 25-Aug-16 21:45:18

The report was one family were mived jingle.

jinglbellsfrocks Thu 25-Aug-16 21:46:51

You can't necessarily believe what's been reported!

whitewave Thu 25-Aug-16 21:49:20

I think I've been there * jing* I love the New Farest. The trouble is that there is Alabama rot there and so we don't go because of dog.

Ana Thu 25-Aug-16 21:49:45

We've been through all this before...grin

Ana Thu 25-Aug-16 21:51:29

Even Pollengran, who had been defending Corbyn, eventually agreed that it was a put-up job.

Anniebach Thu 25-Aug-16 21:54:40

You must make your own decisions .jingle or read this thread and the thread previous to this one,

Beammeupscottie Thu 25-Aug-16 22:06:22

I have been reading some tweets, on a Newspaper blog site, from Corbyn supporters who are vitriolic about the PLP and calling them blue tories.
I find this terrible as all they think about is power for Corbyn. I do not see how they can all work to-gether again.

jinglbellsfrocks Thu 25-Aug-16 22:14:07

Oh yes ww! We were talking to a dog owner (lovely old dog -very dear to them) and they said about that. They have got some sort of collar for the dog.

Yes, ab. I will do that. (Read up about the story, maybe not the thread)

rosesarered Thu 25-Aug-16 22:50:40

Jalima if I am I would like to be paid for it!grin
