This could and probably will go on for yearsgrin

Just to note that as well as Japan putting down markers, Australia has advised that we will behind the EU in any trade negotiations.

granjura... there were lies aplenty on the Remain side, to inculcate a climate of fear!

rosesarered Thu 13-Oct-16 14:57:06

So don't start dd

granjura Thu 13-Oct-16 14:57:36

which seem to be turning true- unlike the 350 b for the NHS and other Brexit lies.

daphnedill Thu 13-Oct-16 14:58:29

@roses

That post is ridiculous! Do you honestly think struggling families will have a warm glow from playing 'Land of hope and glory' while scavenging for food.

It sounds like the kind of stuff a medieval monarch might have come up with.

Your comment about what will happen after Article 50 has been invoked show that you truly have no idea.

daphnedill Thu 13-Oct-16 14:59:25

And don't tell me not to start, roses. angry

You're as clueless as anybody else.

rosesarered Thu 13-Oct-16 14:59:30

dd scavenging for food...... now that really is ridiculous.

daphnedill Thu 13-Oct-16 15:00:11

Ah! Project Fear which turned out to be Project Reality! wink

daphnedill Thu 13-Oct-16 15:00:54

Time for brickwall therapy again. Ciao!

granjura Thu 13-Oct-16 15:01:55

dd can start if she wishes, and I'll continue, thanks.

Gosh how we struggled - and we did with second-hand everything, made bits of furniture with bit of wood- nothing matched, and we certainly didn't go out for meals or had any holidays abroad, apart from going to visit my parents by train (a massive journey in those days) and camping in the back garden...

Huge difference to not being able to afford to buy basic food, basic heat and basic lodgings, and basic clothes for the kid, and losing your basic job...

rosesarered Thu 13-Oct-16 15:03:04

dd I realise that you like to be thought of as an expert on every subject under the sun, but strangely, I have never viewed you in that way...... perhaps I am as clueless as yourself.

granjura Thu 13-Oct-16 15:03:47

Yeah, let them eat cake - and red roses.

rosesarered Thu 13-Oct-16 15:04:43

dd you said that you didn't know where to start, so I was just being helpful in saying'don't start.'

rosesarered Thu 13-Oct-16 15:05:43

Yes granjura .... truly ( if you say so.)

Tegan Thu 13-Oct-16 15:07:43

Quote; 'Make the lie big; make it simple;keep saying it and eventually they will believe it'. Or 'how the referendum was won'.....

Unilever accounts in Euros, so every sale made in £s is a loss to them. That's why they are putting up their prices.

I think you may have missed this Roses, so here it is, again:

rosesarered Thu 13-Oct-16 15:10:04

This thread is really just a vehicle for Remainers to have a massive moan about Brexit and not for anyone to put a constructive or positive slant on it in any way ( I fully realise that) or for anyone (me) to say that IMHO it will be worth almost anything to be out of the EU, but there you are, I'm saying it anyway.grin

whitewave Thu 13-Oct-16 15:21:57

Gosh that's a bit extreme!

granjura Thu 13-Oct-16 15:25:45

Not at all, you are totally entitled to your opinion- but don't you dare tell others to 'not start'.

I'd be very grateful if you could give me a few examples of the lies told by Remain during the campaign. Those told by BoJo and co are massive and flagrant, as said like the 350b to NHS.

rosesarered Thu 13-Oct-16 15:30:56

No granjura you wouldn't be grateful at all, so I shan't bother. However if you were really clued up about it , you would know that lies were told by both sides, quite flagrantly.

yggdrasil Thu 13-Oct-16 15:36:21

Someone here said all the loss of jobs and the price rises were a price worth paying for our sovereignity. I am at a loss to understand this word in connection with the EU, when the alternative is most of our infrastructure and firms being bought up by China.
I think we have just been made to jump off a cliff with no idea what is at the bottom by a load of lies. And I am not going to shut up about it, there is no pleasure is saying we told you so, but we did.

rosesarered Thu 13-Oct-16 15:38:54

Nothing has come to pass yet, ygg so a tad early for any told you so's.

Ana Thu 13-Oct-16 15:40:48

You keep saying 'we told you so' but nothing's really happened yet.

It's still all speculation but the Remainers are behaving as though the very worst has happened already and encouraging mass wailing and rending of garments.

Come back in a couple of years and see whether you're justified in saying 'we told you so'.

whitewave Thu 13-Oct-16 15:42:07

Be too late then, vigilance is the word!

granjura Thu 13-Oct-16 15:42:26

Roses did you watch the video and listen to this honest man in my post at 15.09.31? I do hope you will.

And yes, I would be grateful, thanks. Why mention lies from remain camp and not be prepared to give examples. How can one have a balanced and fair debate on anything if one is not prepared to stand by what you say with examples or links. Thanks.
