How about...^their story is one of unimaginable sacrifice, hard work, and faith in America.^ He makes it sound as though they willingly left their homelands and worked till they dropped on the plantations, out of a sense of duty to their slave masters and faith in the mighty USA.

Executive orders may be powerful tools but surely cannot have the force of law if they are contrary to the Constitution. I am not implying that any recent orders are unconstitutional, although they may be; I am just asking.

Is it not extraordinary that the president of the USA should prioritise an attack on Arnie Swartzenegger ( a fellow Republican with real political experience) because the ratings gor his TV show are down?

Powerful and extraordinary tools should be used very occasionally - like miracles they should not be overused and become commonplace normality.

Exec powers must be legal, but from what I've read, his exec decisions have so far come just short of being orders. This looks set to change according to the Washington Post, which describes his plans to unravel the Obama legacy.

Particuarly alarming is the section on removing Obama regs that mining companies should restore the land they use to the condition it was in before mining began when they wrap up operations.
He's going to scrap the rule and local streams, lakes and therefore drinking water may be polluted. Seems he's lining the pockets of his business friends at the expense of the health of citizens.

One of his latest orders is to repeal the law which prevents people with serious mental disorders getting hold of guns. Is Trump suffering from a serious mental disorder? Good question.

I cant see any country taking the USA on. Not in any real sense.
Need them too much for trade, and afraid of war with them.

More likely in my opinion that it will be americans themselves who actually take on Trump.

Can I recommend a book Mair - "Hillbilly Elegy" by J D Vance, which has been said by many to explain why America voted Trump. I think you will find the so called American Dream is just that for most in America and the riches of those who attain it is built on the poverty of the many.

Thanks for that GG but I was interested in the politics of those who would assasinate him, not those who voted for him.

I think you're very mistaken if you think his votes were drawn only from the disadvantaged European Americans however. I understand he had a large middle class and female vote.
