Oh no! - he's back! I cannot bear his self-satisfied voice!

It does not matter what he says; he just gives me the creeps.

I doubt he gives a fig for what I think though grin

Anniebach Sun 19-Feb-17 17:09:25

Jen, if you consider .blair to be inconsequential why do you ask what he did in the campaign , you care what he does if you wouldn't ask.

Cameron and Osbourne are not Labour Party members,

As for what happened to May, she became PM , she was not leader of the Conservative party during the campaign.

stillaliveandkicking Sun 19-Feb-17 17:19:05

Unfortunately people tend to think "labour" is a party for the working class population and it isn't. That doesn't exist anymore.

People in these areas do however tend to vote labour still in that belief, and yes, these areas are Brexit mainly due to being so affected by mass immigration, affluent or rising aren't. Does no-one get this?

durhamjen Sun 19-Feb-17 17:19:14

I don't care what Blair did in the campaign.
This thread is about Blair, if you haven't noticed, either of you.
Like I said, if you want to deflect onto your usual anti-Corbyn rants, it shows you don't care about Blair, therefore he is inconsequential or irrelevant.

POGS Sun 19-Feb-17 17:21:11

"Even you should be able to see that 70% of Labour voters voting to remain is better thasn 39% of Tory voters voting to remain."

These quotes 'again'.

How do they know who voted what? I think I can understand the Labour figures if they asked 'every single' Labour 'Member' how they voted but the Labour membership is a spit in the ocean when it comes to these who vote for Labour in a General Election. Likewise any party.

What do those figures mean when Labour heartlands voted overwhelmingly for 'Leave'?

It is political spin to keep using the Labour 'Membership' figures as factual evidence as to how Labour voters voted.

Ah but isn't blair labour or supposedly, so why can't people mention corbyn. Another very strange man indeed.

trisher Sun 19-Feb-17 17:22:17

So many of the things said about Corbyn are so illogical and so contradictory it's a joke.
Firstly it's alleged he wasn't committed enough to the campaign OK so if that is true what possible difference would him taking 3 days off have made? In fact if it is true then perhaps he should have stayed away longer. Of course it isn't true and the weekend break is expanded to 'taking a holiday' just to have another reason for Corbyn bashing.
Then there's the not taking part in a TV debate, explained by him as being because he didn't want to be seen endorsing Cameron and Tory policies. A perfectly reasonable idea and presumably a decision taken with the advice and agreement of the party but blamed entirely on him.
Any attempt at political debate on most threads now is stifled by the Corbyn bashers who want to blame him for everything. He isn't perfect but nor is he the devil incarnate as some keep saying. He is the best Labour leader available for the moment .

elfies Sun 19-Feb-17 17:22:47

Like most of our other ex leaders , the gentleman has an interest in staying in Europe....a lucrative job .

Ana Sun 19-Feb-17 17:22:58

Yes, he is!

And Corbyn's rapidly going the same way.

stillaliveandkicking Sun 19-Feb-17 17:25:15

Ah but most people asked him to stand down and he didn't. How weird is that? He didn't listen to who he is supposed to stand for. Very bizarre.

stillaliveandkicking Sun 19-Feb-17 17:26:53

Like i have said, these people are not the "voice" of our nation. They have their own agenda where the EU is concerned and one of profit!

stillaliveandkicking Sun 19-Feb-17 17:27:14

apologies.. should have said "personal profit"

Ana Sun 19-Feb-17 17:27:49

trisher, no one keeps saying Corbyn's 'the devil incarnate'. He hasn't got enough personality for that!

POGS Sun 19-Feb-17 17:32:15

trisher

Corbyn bashing, Theresa May bashing, Trump bashing , Boris bashing, I could go on , is always going to happen is it not?

The fact you and durhamjen overlook is the fact it is Labour MP's who have said this about Corbyn's 'ambivalence' and the link durhamjen provided earlier, plus the speech by Tony Blair to OPEN EUROPE which kicked this off again.

stillaliveandkicking Sun 19-Feb-17 17:34:36

I would personally like to "bash" them all apart from Theresa May.

Anniebach Sun 19-Feb-17 17:43:37

I don't want to bash Corbyn, I want to remind him whilst Labour Party activists were working hard for fourteen years after the disasterous 1983 election he was stabbing them in the back, one was walking the streets and organising fund raising events for the party whilst suffering from cancer , she didn't live to see the 1997 win .

Anniebach Sun 19-Feb-17 17:53:11

Corbyn refused to take part in tv debates because of Cameron and Osbournes policies - allegedly,

He dumped wife no 2 for choosing a grammer school for her son but gives the three top jobs in the shadow cabinet to three women who chose public schools fir their children, even had one made a baroness

daphnedill Sun 19-Feb-17 18:18:44

I think Corbyn is not a good leader (and I've been honest about), but I agree with what trisher wrote:

"Any attempt at political debate on most threads now is stifled by the Corbyn bashers who want to blame him for everything. He isn't perfect but nor is he the devil incarnate as some keep saying. He is the best Labour leader available for the moment."

Sigh

daphnedill Sun 19-Feb-17 18:19:41

If you don't want to bash Corbyn *annie, I'd hate to see somebody who does!

durhamjen Sun 19-Feb-17 18:19:50

There you go again, Annie. Nothing to do with this thread, but you won't stop the Corbyn bashing.
Saak, Corbyn did take notice of those he represents. They didn't want him to stand down as leader.

Anniebach Sun 19-Feb-17 18:21:00

Daphne, there is a difference in criticising Corbyn to criticising May ?

Anniebach Sun 19-Feb-17 18:22:14

Do tell Jen, when did he offer to stand down?

rosesarered Sun 19-Feb-17 19:25:40

I imagine that the Conservatives feel very warm and fuzzy towards Corbyn ( so he is liked by by some.)

rosesarered Sun 19-Feb-17 19:27:06

Not sure where the extra by came from, am sure there are gremlins on this site, it happens on here a lot.hmm

POGS Sun 19-Feb-17 19:38:28

Thank goodness we can all sleeping our beds as there is Nada/Zilch/No Tory bashing on GN.

It's only Corbyn bashing. hmm
