May or Sturgeon?

I cannot stand either Theresa May or Nicola Sturgeon but the last thing I would ever criticise is what they wear.

I actually think both of them dress in an appropriate way for a female politician. I have noticed that Sturgeon more often wears bright colours - like the Queen, in order to be noticed, and May more often wears navy, grey and black jackets, a bit more like a male politician, but I think they both get their looks right, insofar as they can.

Actually I prefer the "uniform" of Angela Merckel, usually black trousers and a coloured tailored jacket which does the job opf projecting her image.

Mhairi Black is of course the new girl who got off to a spectacular start but seems to have problems with the rules.
She's never going to make Prefect status is she

Angela must have wardrobes full of suits which all look the same, only the colour varies!

I take back what I said about both May and Sturgeon dressing appropriately for their roles. They should wear longer skirts to cover their knees if they don't want leg comments in the Daily Mail to divert attention from what they are saying - or maybe trousers like Angela Merkel who may very well have better legs than either of them but we will never know!

I think they may well do that now 'varian' although it was a ridiculous picture ( taken at a low 'level' and accompanied by a silly headline.

I thought May was absolutely stupendous after the Westminster attack. That night from Downing Street she spoke wonderfully well about British resolve, and our ability to stand undaunted against fanatic that I felt myself welling up. I watched her in the Commons the next day and for the first time in a long time I saw our elected representatives stand together in condemnation but also to congratulate Theresa May for her words. Every member who spoke, including Corbyn, associated themselves with her message. Cometh the hour, cometh the (wo)man.

I am not very fond of Sturgeon. She is like a dog with a bone, regarding independence for Scotland. I know she's not limited - she strikes me as being very sharp and astute - but for those without strong views about Scottish independence she comes across as a one trick pony. I've often wondered if she speaks for most Scots regarding a referendum...now, a while after the first failed attempt. I find her slightly scary.

Day6. Sturgeon most certainly doesn't speak for all Scots! Many of us are totally fed up at her obsession with independence. Wishing she'd get on with the day job!!

Day6, your description of NS is absolutely spot on - her obsession with Scottish independence is scary! In the event of this happening though, I understand there could be a problem with the Northern Isles? Before you all shout at me, it's only what I read!!

Sturgeon the better politician! You're having a chortle surely! She's self obsessed, small minded, nationalistic and one of those truly embarrassing women who shouts, screams and goes on & on & on about her self interest. Give me May any day!

What have their clothes got to do with anything?
I admire May for saying she's a Christian, living like a Christian and being a Christian...and mentioning that very unPC word Christian at Easter

I wonder how many people dislike Sturgeon but think Farage deserves a knighthood. In my opinion, Sturgeon is by far the better politician, even though I disagree with her stance on Scottish independence.

PS. I can't believe the comments about their clothes. Has politics really sunk this low?

Mrs May's a "CHRISTIAN" well what a shock! She has some very unchristian policies....doesn't christianity tell us to care for the sick ,the poor ,the vulnerable ? These are the people she's targetting .....nothing "christian" about her,HYPOCRITE more like
