Johnson likes to show off that he knows words that nobody else has heard of. He called Corbyn a "mutton-headed old mugwump". Not very clever. Johnson is supposed to be a respected senior politician.

Nothing to do with Corbyn, but much of the latest Budget has been scrapped, including "Making Tax Digital", which must have wasted billions in IT development. I'm miffed, because I wasted an hour participating in an online podcast about it.

I have seen very little (or no) evidence that May is strong. On the contrary, she seems to cave into pressure far too easily and looks and sounds uncomfortable, whenever she has to improvise. I hadn't realised how many really nasty expressions she has and how aggressive her body language is.

She reminds me of a former Deputy Head. Whenever she stood up to speak it was cue for a nap, while appearing to be awake - a technique many of us developed over time.

May simply can't think on the hoof, which is why she resorts to sneering and unpleasantries. It is why she won't appear on a tv debate. May has no debating skills.

Though I'm not a Tory - IF and it's a big IF I would vote Tory if my Tory candidate was open minded and independent like Anna Soubrey then YES. If he/she was a toe-the-line at all costs then NO. There needs to be a sufficient number of MP's prepared to stand for what they believe in for the good of the country even if their party is not that way inclined.

No involvement by the Lords, no involvement by the SNP , and Corbyn-led Labour? it is claimed on this forum by the far left the labour MP's don't support him

I can't see it either daphne. Corbyn has been attacked by all the right-wing and some of the left-wing press. He has been vilified and is still pleasant and appears approachable and he is also still saying that discussion is more important than force unless and until it fails.

I could not believe any of the body language and tone coming from May yesterday - it was just a bully in public. She will not put herself in front of the 'general' public - voters - but only specially selected audiences. She wants to be rid of all opposition and thinks the only way she can be strong enough to negotiate with the EU is to do that.

Do people want a bully to stand for their country? I certainly do not.

annie when and if May wins the election, and the poor, the sick and young suffer as a result, has it occurred to you that your lack of support for the Labour Party and your apparent support of the Tories will be a tiny bit to blame. Everybodies voice counts. I couldn't live with that personally.
