Anyone got any information we can put onto this thread please?

Beammeupscottie Thu 27-Apr-17 09:58:33

Whitewave. I am sorry to be personal but your moanings have all the trademarks of a disgruntled loser.
I think Annie, when old McDonnell talks about "fucking losers" he was looking in a mirror!

Anniebach Thu 27-Apr-17 10:03:16

Or Beam, he knew then he was plotting to destroy the Labour Party and cost labour MP's their seats

whitewave Thu 27-Apr-17 10:05:57

I'm not a disgruntled loser yet beam but you may well be right in June!!! Then I will b e very disgruntled indeed.

daphnedill Thu 27-Apr-17 10:11:00

Hmm! I thought I'd clicked on the Conservative thread!

Anniebach Thu 27-Apr-17 10:11:06

I will be in a no win situation , who ever wins it will mean the end of the Labour Party

whitewave Thu 27-Apr-17 10:28:07

annie of course each of us has her own way of supporting their party of choice. It seems that we can find no common ground at all which I feel sad about given the past. But never mind, ever onwards as they say. It is probably better if we avoid each other and then it can't lead to arguments smile

GracesGranMK2 Thu 27-Apr-17 10:29:38

There is a difference Annie between actually supporting the Tory party and offering support to the Tories. I would say your demonization of Corbyn may fall into the later. It certainly gets a lot of agreement on here from those on the right.

Anniebach Thu 27-Apr-17 11:00:25

I think we do have common ground Whitewave, we want the same for the country , this is where we differ - you want a party led by a far left leader, I do not, I want a leader who can win an election , I am dreading this election, I took part in the 1951 election when in the lower junior school, I have supported every leader since , now I see the party my g grandfather worked to build being destroyed and I am devastated , I am also quite lost. I didn't stand down as chair because of my dislike of Corbyn, I stood down because a member refused to withdraw his hope that Corbyn would have a massive heart attack and this would save the party,

Carry in praising defending corbyn ,I will not stop posting the truth about him

whitewave Thu 27-Apr-17 11:03:46

This is my last word on the subject and one I hope you will take on board and accept.

I am a social democrat, by its very nature it excludes parties of the far right and left. I will support all parties whose humanity shines through.

" I thought this thread was about May hmm. There's another one about Corbyn."

Oh the irony.

POGS Thu 27-Apr-17 12:55:13

WW

" I am a social democrat, by its very nature it excludes parties of the far right and left.

Corbyn is far left but you and others deny that is an honest appraisal of his entire history in politics.

whitewave Thu 27-Apr-17 13:05:04

No pogs you are making assumptions from other posters comments. I support the broad left which will include the Labour Party, the Greens and the Libs, but you will not find any comments in which I highly praise Corbyn. I may defend his position where I felt criticism is entirely unfair. But you are wrong I am afraid.

Jalima1108 Thu 27-Apr-17 13:09:18

I would say your demonization of Corbyn may fall into the later

hmm does that mean that all those Labour politicians and other Labour supporters who are not happy with Corbyn/McDonnell/Momentum are offering support to the Tories ?

Anniebach Thu 27-Apr-17 13:30:18

The majority of labour MP's are social democrats yet they were condemned here for reusing to accept a far left leader. Will someone explain why these MP's were condemned yet Corbyn voted hundreds of times against his leaders is praised?

POGS Thu 27-Apr-17 13:32:16

WW

No appraisal of other peoples comments at all. You make statements etc. so I respond to you, as you do likewise.

To be fair to you have said you will be voting Labour this time but wouldn't care if it was Green, Labour or Lib Dem.

However Corbyn is still far left and by saying ' I am a social democrat, by its very nature it excludes parties of the far right and left.' you are denying you are voting for a far left Political Leader.

You are also 'actively' informing others how to vote so don't be surprised if you come in for questioning.

whitewave Thu 27-Apr-17 13:43:27

You are winding yourself up in knots to prove a none existing point * pogs*. There are millions of people who consider themselves social democrats indeed I would go so far as to suggest that they are the vast majority. Many if them will vote Labour. Are you suggesting that by default they are all far left supporters?

daphnedill Thu 27-Apr-17 14:08:25

Reminder alert: This is a thread about the Conservatives!

daphnedill Thu 27-Apr-17 14:11:20

There are numerous other threads, on which Corbyn's "betrayal" of the Labour Party, his voting record and his hat are discussed.

The title of this thread is about the Conservatives.

POGS Thu 27-Apr-17 14:14:27

daphndil

That is not working on this nor other threads is it?

'Do as I say not do as I do' is fine only if the person saying it is not found wanting themselves.

Jalima1108 Thu 27-Apr-17 14:42:11

Reminder alert: This is a thread about the Conservatives!
The Conservatives have an Opposition whose leader is Jeremy Corbyn
wink

rosesarered Thu 27-Apr-17 14:44:19

annibach is one person complaining about Corbyn........there are millions out there also complaining about him and his far left views. One more hardly matters.

Back to the Conservatives: I think that Boris needs to be taken on holiday somewhere ( and possibly left there) grin
Still, even with his negative input to electioneering, the polls still show a massive lead, so If TMay gets back in with a good majority, she should relegate Boris to a dept where he can't constantly put his foot in it.

rosesarered Thu 27-Apr-17 14:45:07

Jalima grin

whitewave Thu 27-Apr-17 14:52:38

Yes rose you will not be surprised to know I agree with that comment. I suspect that if May wins you will be shuffled away!! He is chaotic in his approach and certainly not stable.
I have said this on the Syrian thread but I think it is worth repeating here

What is worrying is that he may be using this poodling as a charm offensive in the hope that America will throw him some trading crumbs. But we know that the Minister for Commerce has rebuffed this, stating that the EU comes first and last in negotiations.

Both tactics are very wrong Imo Johnson is a liability.

Iraq taught us a salutary lesson, unilateral decisions without regard ourselves to Parliament

whitewave Thu 27-Apr-17 14:53:30

Not you - he!!! Wishful thinking grin

rosesarered Thu 27-Apr-17 14:55:20

ww I am not surprised that you agree with me, but a bit worried that I may be shuffled away after the election! Eek! The Tower? grin
