I have emailed my spanking new Tory MP. I expect him to be thrilled by a correspondence from a constituent and am anticipating an early response. I asked where the money is coming from.

Well I for one am listening, I am enraged by this, no money for the NHS, but enought to buy the DUP,just wrote to my MP, I can see this causing terrible trouble, labour must join together to get May and her cronies out.

We are on a hiding to the back end of nowhere! This woman is conceited and self centred as well as stupid and stubborn.

She needs to resign and be made to live like we do for a year in penance for her crass ignorance of the harsh reality of life without the safely net of wealth.

DUP - this union with them would have been utterly unthinkable at one time.....

Hung Parliaments can do exactly what the Conservatives have done, to make up the seat numbers, ask a minority party to join them.
Now, people, especially Labour voters may not like this ( DUP) but it is legal.
The only question in this case, is does it breach the Good Friday agreement?
I imagine not, or would it have gone ahead.Yes, the Conservatives could have soldiered on without the DUP or anyone else, but nothing would have got done, all their policies would be voted down ( including Brexit deals) and there would have been another GE called within months.How would any of that be good for the UK meanwhile.The Markets hate uncertainty.

How on earth would all their policies have been voted down? How ridiculous. On what planet would the DUP have voted against the Government and forced an election?

surely the DUP can only vote on issues that affect the whole UK ,remember EVEL ,they cant vote on English matters ,so where will that leave the government..oh and as to extra funds ...just forget Barnet and let us keep ALL our own money raised her instead of 70% going to subsidise Westminster ..for that mnatter why doesn't ENGLAND decide independence for them would be their best option..I'll vote yes for them

'Gerry Adams has said the deal between the Conservatives and Northern Ireland's DUP "provides a blank cheque for a Tory Brexit which threatens the Good Friday Agreement."

The President of Sinn Fein previously said he told Theresa May she is in breach of the Agreement when he met the Prime Minister at 10 Downing Street.

In a statement to reporters outside afterwards, Mr Adams said: "We told her very directly that she was in breach of the Good Friday Agreement, and we itemised those matters in which she was in default in relation to that agreement."

He also confirmed they had also discussed the possibility of a referendum on Irish unity.'

paddyann The Tories have a majority in England, so they're bothered about legislation affecting schools or hospitals, etc. I think (nut could be wrong) that Northern Ireland also has a separate welfare budget. The first priority for them is to pass the Queen's Speech.

I would be always careful who i chose to support if that political party was willing to get into bed with such shockers.

It would say a lot about me i think. So i am sure many Tory supporters are feeling extremely wobbly about what May has done

I accept (but don't understand why) people will vote Tory - that's democracy!
What I can't accept is that any reasonable person can condone the utter immorality of this deal.
Are you really prepared to accept their vile philosophy and the 'principle' that's ok to buy votes like this?

What a pity we can't time travel back to the day before the EU referendum - maybe all the halfwits who voted to leave would then vote to stay having seen the mess it would cause!
