EXCLUSIVE: New CCTV footage reveals Jeremy Corbyn told truth about 'Traingate'

I think someone owes Corbyn an apology. It won't happen of course but at least this may balance the story the owners of the news wanted us to hear.

devongirl Fri 25-Aug-17 11:53:56

No Annie correct me if I'm wrong but I believe no-one has said they had pre-booked seats? The whole point of trisher's post was why it probably wouldn't be practical to pre-book...

Anniebach Fri 25-Aug-17 11:54:01

Surely has Corbyn had arranged a hustings event he wouldn't have risked not being at the venue on time knowing there were many people waiting, yet he would let those people down and miss his train because the press pack wanted to talk to him?

The same Corbyn who when asked one question by one reporter said I am being harassed, and raced to stand behind a glass door whilst his young female assistants blocked the camera ?

durhamjen Fri 25-Aug-17 11:57:39

Not resentful at all, Primrose. I got a seat. My son and his wife stood because the people who were sitting in their prebooked seats were older than me.
I would have been upset if my son and his wife, who are fit enough to run marathons, had asked elderly people to move.

All I am saying, as trisher says, is that even if you prebook seats you don't always get them.
I am not resentful. I am pleased that my son has manners.
My grandchildren eventually sat near me, as two other people moved for them when they realised what had happened.
There are nice people on the train.

What do you mean, so much for his principles, Ana?
I think it was principled not to take first class seats.

durhamjen Fri 25-Aug-17 11:59:38

Bloody hell, Annie, you really do resent Corbyn and everything he does. You have the memory of an elephant, never forgetting the slightest bit.
You really are in the wrong party.

devongirl Fri 25-Aug-17 12:03:29

So true!

POGS Fri 25-Aug-17 12:04:00

durhamjen . Thurs 22.39

" Labour party rules are that you cannot belong to another party, which includes the Communist party."

You are correct but only as far 'as things stand' , maybe there will come a time in the near future when this rule is changed but that would only be possible if there is a will to do so by those on The National Policy Forum/ National Executive Committee/Shadow Cabinet and PLP.

That is why there has been a 'division' within the Labour Party! Some believe there has been/is a move in the direction to the ' return ' of the hard left and voices from the days of ' Militant' of which Jeremy Corbyn, John McDonnell clearly stood shoulder to shoulder with.

It is also why there is a difference of opinion between posters such as yourself who are 'return' Labour Members since Corbyn became Labour Leader and posters such as Anniebach , who despite what others say about her , has always posted in favour of voting for the Labour Party and was initially 'pro Corbyn' but has over time become concerned as to the direction of travel it has taken since Corbyn became Labour Leader.

The rise of the Corbyn Party/Momentum (founded solely to support Corbyn not the Labour Party) , the politics of the Far Left which have surrounded Corbyn at his behest have given rise to tensions within the Labour Party.

A good example to compliment you on your knowledge in your post would be this one:-

www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/entry/jeremy-corbyn-defends-andrew-murray-ex-communist-after-drafted-in-as-election-adviser-secondment-unite_uk_5919d8a4e4b07d5f6ba4bf4a

" Murray, who quit the Communist Party of Great Britain last year to join Labour, has come under fire for his previous views on Stalin and North Korea."

Is Andrew Murrays daughter still working for Corbyn as Shadow Cabinet Advisor and Momentum?

durhamjen Fri 25-Aug-17 12:09:32

No idea. I don't know anything about Momentum. I am sure you can find out, though.

POGS Fri 25-Aug-17 12:13:56

" If it wasn't you, it was Baggs.
Sorry, just couldn't be bothered to look it up."

Are you sure it was Baggs if you haven't bothered to look it up?

Mind you , you do have form on aligning Baggs and I don't you durhamjen.

I remember when you posted:-

"I think you'll find, jalima, that POGS and bags are pastmasters at drawing fine lines between what they say they mean and what some of us think they mean".

Yes I do have a brilliant memory . Perhaps that's why you were confused so just blurted one of our names .

trisher Fri 25-Aug-17 12:15:11

You ever travelled by train from Newcastle to London or the other way Annie? Only 59% of Virgin trains arrived on time in the last year, so the chances of arriving on time for any event need carefully considering and maybe Corbyn got an earlier train so he would be certain to arrive on time. It's called flexibility you know, I would have thought it's something you would appreciate in a politician, you're always going on about how they have fixed ideas.
It might be nice if you could admit what a massive attempt at smearing by Richard Branson this was.

durhamjen Fri 25-Aug-17 12:17:07

Richard Branson is probably a friend of hers, too.

Anniebach Fri 25-Aug-17 12:18:39

There is a move to prevent Burnham and Khan speaking at this years party conference, they are classed as too centre ground

Laura Murray still working for Corbyn

trisher Fri 25-Aug-17 12:21:05

Change the subject when you're cornered! This thread is about Traingate Annie there is a separate thread for the Labour Party!

POGS Fri 25-Aug-17 12:21:34

durhamjen

" No idea. I don't know anything about Momentum. "

For somebody who knows ' nothing ' about Momentum I have to ask how you have posted on the subject since it's inception.

Really, you know nothing/Nada/zilch !

Anniebach Fri 25-Aug-17 12:24:31

If Corbyn caught an earlier train so as not to be delayed and so late for his appointment even more strange he didn't pre book seats . Doesn't take a degree to work out finding at least five seats together on what is claimed to be a train line which is infamous for being overcrowded and late is rather stupid

durhamjen Fri 25-Aug-17 12:26:14

I haven't, POGS.
Please show me where I have posted anything about Momentum.
Annie does a lot. Are you saying she is a member, too.

Ana Fri 25-Aug-17 12:35:08

You really are funny, durhamjen. Are you saying she is a member, too (no question mark). How on earth did you manage to work that out?

POGS Fri 25-Aug-17 12:35:16

Ah, the 'off topic' comment.

If you read this , or indeed many threads, you will note that several posters have 'gone off topic' , it's what happens.

It only matters to posters if threads wander and subsequent posts are not palatable to that posters view . If threads wander and are subsequently agreeable those posters they simply keep shtum.

devongirl Fri 25-Aug-17 12:36:45

POGS your post is totally off-topic

POGS Fri 25-Aug-17 13:02:49

durhamjen

I did not accuse nor state you are a member of Momentum.

I take your word for it that on occasion you have posted about receiving e.mails from Momentum and you chose not to take them any further.

I do not however understand how you can say you 'know nothing about Momentum' .

devongirl

Your opinion!

devongirl Fri 25-Aug-17 13:04:22

My opinion - still off-topic! no mention of the train journey...

nigglynellie Fri 25-Aug-17 13:10:58

Why didn't he fly? More reliable, less expensive, much quicker and discreet! but not good for publicity stunt!!

devongirl Fri 25-Aug-17 13:12:46

Is it really less expensive? - I don't know what the airfare is..

Anniebach Fri 25-Aug-17 13:18:27

Why didn't he go on his bike

Anniebach Fri 25-Aug-17 13:23:15

Cornered Trisha? this thread is only about trains? Do explain what Corbyn with a copy of the Sun under his arm has to do with trains? Jen seems to have connected them Perhaps you missed that post? Surely not nit picking are you?

durhamjen Fri 25-Aug-17 13:24:11

Annie knows far more than I do about Momentum. She's always talking about it.

You still haven't shown me where I have posted about it "since its inception".
Annie thinks that anyone who supports Corbyn must be a member of Momentum.
I think anyone who likes Jacob Rees-Mogg must be a member of the Tory party.
