EXCLUSIVE: New CCTV footage reveals Jeremy Corbyn told truth about 'Traingate'

I think someone owes Corbyn an apology. It won't happen of course but at least this may balance the story the owners of the news wanted us to hear.

durhamjen Fri 25-Aug-17 13:28:29

Read the whole posts, Annie, don't nitpick.
I mentioned someone putting a photo of Corbyn with a Sun under his arms as POGS had mentioned another paper.

petra Fri 25-Aug-17 13:49:43

nigglynellie
There's not a lot of room outside the toilets on a plane grin and he has to give the nod to his socialist principles by travelling by train.

nigglynellie Fri 25-Aug-17 14:39:10

But a good proportion of the country flies these days!! and if the traffic today is to be believed they're out in force!! Perhaps J.C is a bit behind the times when it comes to socialist principles, or perhaps he believes that all these holidaying folk are Tories?!!! As you say though petra, the toilets are marginalised on aircraft, not leaving any room for a sit in, so back to the train for maximum effect!

durhamjen Fri 25-Aug-17 14:54:22

His principles also mean no short haul flights.
Quite sensible, really.

Ana Fri 25-Aug-17 15:01:45

Those same principles that apparently allowed him to donate the first class seats he and his entourage had been given to some 'ordinary' passengers to make himself look good.

durhamjen Fri 25-Aug-17 15:12:23

Nothing to do with him. It was the train guard that did it. He can't be blamed for the actions of others.
Obviously you'd rather he had sat on the floor all the way to Newcastle, would you?

trisher Fri 25-Aug-17 15:20:25

Well actually if you are in central London the quickest way to get to Newcastle is by train. I really do think some of you have led sheltered lives and have no idea about public transport.
He didn't "donate" anything Annie Virgin asked the other passengers to move to first class and they did so. Do try to stick to the facts and not invent stuff because you hate Corbyn.

Ana Fri 25-Aug-17 15:22:52

Why would the train guard put other passengers in First Class rather than Corbyn and his entourage? Didn't the guard know how Important he was?

Ana Fri 25-Aug-17 15:24:28

Think you owe Annie an apology, trisher - you're in such a rush to cast blame....

Anniebach Fri 25-Aug-17 15:25:18

Trisher, do try to read posts and try not to get so excited to have a snipe at me, very playground .

Jen sounds as if she has a crush on Corbyn and you just want to boss/bully , yep very playground

Anniebach Fri 25-Aug-17 15:27:50

It's getting over excited that's the problem Ana

Seems if anyone doesn't want to travel to Newcastle they have led a sheltered life

nigglynellie Fri 25-Aug-17 15:44:09

FGS, if you want to travel to a particular event by train, surely it's not beyond the wit of most people to book your seat in advance and leave plenty of time to get to the station bearing in mind the traffic.
J.C's principles include no short haul flights?! That presumably includes flights to Europe. If he becomes PM, would he travel by train to attend events, meetings? Could meet himself coming back! wink

trisher Fri 25-Aug-17 15:45:06

Apologies Annie but the comment about sheltered life had noting to do with Newcastle and was to do with people who don't know where the airports are in London.
Ana watch the video. Corbyn was offered First Class seats and refused - after all politicians aren't supposed to take bribes are they? He couldn't find seats and sat on floor-like many others. Guard then upgraded 5 passengers and gave Corbyn the seats. 5 passengers were probably very grateful but lots of others sat on floor all the way. As many people do on this route. First class of course is usually almost empty.

Ana Fri 25-Aug-17 15:52:51

As I said, he wanted to make himself look good, letting the plebs take the first class seats.

GracesGranMK2 Fri 25-Aug-17 15:55:40

POGS Fri 25-Aug-17 10:32:28 Your logic seems to have plumbed the depths in this one POGS.

If a man surrounds himself with chickens is it reasonable to then assume he is a chicken?

trisher Fri 25-Aug-17 15:58:07

Had he taken the First class seats himself-worth almost £100 each you would probably now be accusing him of being corrupt and open to bribery. Ana

Ana Fri 25-Aug-17 16:03:55

No, I'd have thought he came out of that well! How on earth can it be bribery?

IF there were no seats in second class and Corbyn and Co. were deliberately drawing attention to themselves it would be worth it to get them out of the way of other passengers.

durhamjen Fri 25-Aug-17 16:07:51

You do talk rubbish, Ana.

nigglynellie Fri 25-Aug-17 16:22:59

Valid point Ana! His principles are about as outdated as the rest of his socialist hog wash.

Ana Fri 25-Aug-17 16:25:08

So do you, durhamjen, but you take yourself far too seriously to even consider the possiblity!

durhamjen Fri 25-Aug-17 16:33:12

Do principles become outdated?
I suppose they do if you are a Tory and hounding everyone who doesn't have a house, job or much money.

Ana Fri 25-Aug-17 16:36:02

Oh, I thought you considered those Tory principles to be right up to date.

durhamjen Fri 25-Aug-17 17:14:19

Those are the up-to-date ones.
Tories never used to hound people for not having houses, jobs or money; they just used to send them to the workhouse.

Ana Fri 25-Aug-17 17:17:05

Snort...!

Anniebach Fri 25-Aug-17 17:47:19

jen, try reading up on the poor law amendment 1834
