If there was another EU referendum...

We’ve always had freedom - we have been an equal member of the EU and helped decide any rules applicable to all and the freedom ( about 4% of our laws) to decide our own domestic policy. How will This mythical new freedom be demonstrated ? It’s seems theEU bashers still believe we were held in some vice like grip by the EU even though we are an equal member. If you ask how will our lives improve no one can tell us apart from talking about “freedom” which means not a jot. Apart from freedom to make our own mess which have been managing very nicely to do.

Thankfully there will be less than a year to go before we leave the EU ( although I sense GN will play host to the fearful for quite some time.)

Re doctors
UK doctors have always and probably will always require a minimum 5years teaining. Whereas doctors from many European countries only require 4years minimum.
If you received tratment from say a Spanish doctor, would you refuse it?
Incidentally most of the best doctors come out of worldwide medical schools who were either built by the Brits. Or taught the British medical syllabus.

Like you Jn, my views on the EU have been formed with trepidation over the years. None of the propaganda in either campaign persuaded me or DH one way or the other. We based our vote on the above and that was it!

So which Brexit do you want ally? Which did you vote for?
Did you understand WTO rules before you voted? Did you know that USA trade deal will force us to accept TTIP which will lead to American companies buying into NHS contracts before you voted?
Even the most hard core Brexiteers such as Mogg are hedging their bets by moving investments to EU countries rather than risk everything in the U.K. ? Not exactly a ringing endorsement for Brexit from him.
And what about the Irish border? No solution for the border problem has yet been found.

I don't think we're a laughing stock at all, I think some countries, perhaps secretly, actually admire us for our bravery in standing up to these 'rubber stamped' (in other words, unelected) Commissioners. I know our many Dutch friends feel nothing but admiration for the UK being courageous enough to challenge these arrogant bullies. French friends are dismayed, not because we want to leave, but because they feel rightly or wrongly that we are deserting them when we did offer some sort of brake in this institution, and now of course we won't be there. To belong to an association that you effectively can't leave no matter what, is exactly what happened to the countries of Easter Europe and lasted for about as long before their populations rose up and broke away from the tyranny of the USSR. Of course people with vested interests will move heaven and earth to destroy brexit, but most of us ordinary folk don't have vested interests, but what we do have is a dislike of bullies, being run by people other our own government, seeing other countries who are now so reliant on the bully boys that they are just vessel states and have to tow the Brussels line, the lack of transparency, the waste of money, particularly moving the parliament once a month -why??!!!!!) and more besides. The vested interest folk don't give a toss about anyone else, no matter where they come from, too busy getting their noses in the trough!! It's a dictatorship, a closed shop, and to be completely entangled by and to have no escape from is actually quite frightening not only for us but the other countries of Europe. Of course we all want a close relationship in every respect, but please try to understand - we DON'T want to be GOVERNED by you!

Why do people try to justify this vote through the 'lies and corruption' scenario?

The people of this country by majority Democratic vote have rebelled against the EU. It is a Democratic ballot box revolution!! The direction of this Country will take us into the future not the past that is where the EU is the past. A trading organisation with machinations of power, inventing itself into a Nation without Country. An organisation of it's time, a time long past.

Those against the revolution, are not the remain voters, they are self interest groups as I have said on other post's. They are anarchistic mostly, because they are not offering an alternative mandate, or Government, for the next General Election, they are seeking to overthrow the two Democratic votes for their own self interest. Anarchy being one of those in my view. Destabilisation of this Country. Far left/communist groups masquerading as something else.

As for this old chestnut what is Brexit! READ sorry to shout! Read about what we are escaping from, look to the EU. It is their problems we are escaping from, these are well recorded. This is a collapsing system, bringing down 27 Country's, destroying their traditions, their economic and social structures all crumbling, even Germany is not exempt.

Ally the Referendum gave a slim majority but was based on lies and corruption. The General Election proved nothing as the Tories lost their majority and became a minority government.
