You either listen to the Jewish representatives when asking their advice, or you don’t.....seems that they didn’t!

Is the Labour Party in private meetings working out their definition of anti semitism really parliamentary work

Fennel Tue 17-Jul-18 21:24:28

Another consequence of all this time wasted on Brexit has meant that hardly any other parliamentary work has been done.
They're not earning their pay.

M0nica has hit the nail on the head. Then there’s Trump to add to the fun.

If we as a nation actually manage to survive this brexitshambles, I think it is high time we had a total rethink about the way we are governed.

MOnica, your post at 09.24 made me smile. thanks for that - it's dire isn't it.

Our whole political structure, which includes both main parties and the fringe are all utterly barking mad at present and running round like headless chickens. This is just another manifestation of it.

No read the whole document. But for me personally, it is very important to make the difference between antisemitism, and anti Zionism- especially in the context of what is being done to the Palestinians and the constant expansion of Israeli territories.

I agree Iam . Unbelievable, Labour are accused of anti semitism so they will decide their own difinition of it.

Iam64 Tue 17-Jul-18 08:55:41

Good point Blinko!

Iam64 Tue 17-Jul-18 08:55:25

According to the BBC news summary, issues I see as significant are not included in the new definition. According to the LP they are 'addressed' in the new definition.

Anniebach - the new definition worries me but I'm sure this thread won't progress easily (as you will know)

Blinko Tue 17-Jul-18 08:55:15

With all that's going on in the Tory party.....confused

Anniebach Tue 17-Jul-18 08:45:55

They are now deciding on a new definition of anti semitism
