Who? I can't think of anyone ...

GabriellaG54 Thu 21-Mar-19 14:48:01

Nah...I'm always right. No probs.
I never take any notice of your chat nowadays as you bore me.
I like fresh thinking, not yesterday's manna served cold.

Yes, Kit Malthouse. Seems a genuine bloke but hasn’t had that much experience as an MP as yet.

Another vote for Philip Hammond. Closely followed by Rory Stewart.

I know little of Tory MP’s. It was said recently Sajid Javid had an eye on the top job

Anniebach Thu 21-Mar-19 15:52:01

I rather like Amber Rudd

Well according to the odds Boris is the favourite which says it all really. I think it is time to emigrate to Europe!

Anniebach Thu 21-Mar-19 16:24:14

I admit I have a ‘thing’ about dignity . Boris has not a scrape.

Nicenanny3 Thu 21-Mar-19 16:55:55

I think Boris has charisma and I also quite like Dominic Raab.

dragonfly46 Thu 21-Mar-19 17:12:41

Nicenanny Boris does not have charisma. I saw him once at St Pancras and he just looked a scruff. He is a turncoat and self serving. He only voted Brexit because he thought it would be good for his career. He had two votes in his pocket - one Brexit and one Remain. It shows just how committed he was. He is a buffoon.

maryeliza54 Thu 21-Mar-19 17:16:13

Boris is a racist, well documented philanderer and liar who thinks spending money on bringing justice to sexually abused children is akin to ejaculating up a wall and a bit of a malarchy. He ran away from his second term as Mayor to pursue his parliamentary ambitions and whilst a Mayor was well known for being lazy, paying no attention to detail and wasting vast amounts of tax payers money on a bridge and water canons inter alia. He supported leave in the referendum because he was sure Remain would win and he’d become PM. His ashen face told the story the next morning and he couldn’t run away from the consequences of his action quickly enough. So yes, of course he’d be a great leader - he’s certainly representative of all that is putrid and corrupt in the modern day Conservative party

maryeliza54 Thu 21-Mar-19 17:17:17

Buffoon doesn’t come close dragon

EllanVannin Thu 21-Mar-19 17:17:52

Amber Rudd ? She who ignored the Windrush debacle ??

None of them as far as I'm concerned.

GillT57 Thu 21-Mar-19 17:41:47

Maryeliza you have summed up Boris J perfectly. The man is a cheat and a liar (sorry andy, that word again). Once you have cheated on and publicly humiliated your wife and children the rest, such as the general public or electorate is easy. He is a vile individual.

Boris Johnson is known to have been sacked at least twice for lying.

He was sacked by The Times when he was their correspondent in Brussels and was found to have made up negative stories about the European Union. He was subsequently sacked from the government by John Major for more proven lies.

How stupid, uninformed or morally deficient would you have to be to accept a man like him as Prime Minister?

Gransnet is just a forum we have no say unless we are paid up Conservative members who becomes their Leader think some posters need to lighten up after all GN is just a grannys forum.

maryeliza54 Thu 21-Mar-19 18:09:23

nice I know varian doesn’t need me to speak for her but are you unable to accept that her ( and my) comments about BJ are nothing to do with losing the referendum but everything to do with the fact that he is a steaming pile of dogshit on the soles of humanity that his supporters like you would wish to be trodden into the living rooms of the nation

maryeliza54 Thu 21-Mar-19 18:11:56

You lighten up if you want but butt out of telling others to do the same nice - some of us actually understand how serious things are and that there is nothing to lighten up about.

maryeliza54 Thu 21-Mar-19 18:14:04

And we don’t need your faux sympathy nor your pathetic attempts at cod psychology - right?

Maggiemaybe Thu 21-Mar-19 18:53:57

Tough question. Rory Stewart’s the only one I can think of.

varian Thu 21-Mar-19 19:04:36

Thank you for your support maryliza54.

Nicenanny (strange name for someone who does not come across as very nice) accuses me of being " bitter, mean and nasty you are just because Leave won the referendum "

No I am not any of these things. I do know that some good people were fooled into voting leave by the lies, foreign influence and cheating of the leave campaign, and it is possible that the poster who chooses to call herself Nicenanny may be one of them, but I continue to try to inform them about the facts.

I have little interest in who will succeed Theresa May as Tory leader, but I think it is worth pointing out that while some of the other contenders may be unsuitable in various ways, Boris Johnson is a proven liar and that is an established fact.

I am not a member of the Conservative party and therefore have no say in the matter, but I think it is possible that some GNetters are party members and will have a say and so I think they should be informed about Boris Johnson's poor record which is a reflection on his character.
