Baby's on the way.....

Craicon Tue 07-May-19 14:31:57

@avalon.
The ‘British = superior’ rubbish is usually posted by the ‘I’m not a racist but’ types so I wouldn’t bother paying them any attention as they live in their own silly Brexit bubble.
They certainly don’t represent the majority of Brits.

K8tie Tue 07-May-19 15:05:55

Well as a doting grandmother I wish them all the very best.

EllanVannin Tue 07-May-19 15:18:22

I wouldn't mind, Avalon, but most of us " Brits " have European ancestry so the " true blue-blooded Englandism " flies straight out of the window whether some Gnetters like it or not smile Ignore remarks.

Anniebach Tue 07-May-19 15:22:06

avalon I do understand as an American you refer to
‘Little-Englandism’, but there are Scots and Welsh posters too, England is one country in the U.K.

OmaforMaya Tue 07-May-19 15:29:51

Annibach so nasty.

Anniebach Tue 07-May-19 15:37:01

Not at all OmaforMaya , just posting a fact , there are English, Scots, and Welsh posters , I don’t do ‘little Englandism ‘ , I don’t live in England and am not English.

Marieeliz Tue 07-May-19 15:37:43

Some really sour faced people on this site. They all sound very bitter. If your bored or sick of it don't join in. Spoiling others pleasure in the announcement. Left wing people are always the same. Miserable s****.

Anniebach Tue 07-May-19 15:44:27

So amusing, some posters critcise some posters for criticising ?

EllanVannin Tue 07-May-19 15:49:40

I have Scot's Welsh, English and European in my DNA.

Bridgeit Tue 07-May-19 15:57:05

Ohh just got in, sorry for delay in reply Annibach.
There is a world of difference between criticism & spitefulness as you probably know.
There is no need to criticise The Couple for their choices, no need to say anything at all, what is being said is to me an act of spitefulness.

wot Tue 07-May-19 16:17:01

I think it's terrible that on Facebook some people were saying he should be called James after his grandfather.

Anniebach Tue 07-May-19 16:21:49

So you are cricising not being spiteful Bridgeit, there is a need for you do so but not me ?

Anniebach Tue 07-May-19 16:23:09

That’s nasty wot

Jang Tue 07-May-19 16:23:12

Well done and congrats to them all... But much more exciting news from my camp... Second grandchild (boy) born on Sunday a month early, in special care unit covered in tubes! ....So that's my pigeon pair! Hope I get a cuddle soon....

Day6 Tue 07-May-19 16:29:47

I hope you do too Jang. Congratulations! I hope the little fella is out of special care soon. A bit of a worry but hope you'll be cuddling him before long.

Bridgeit Tue 07-May-19 16:30:18

??

Phoebes Tue 07-May-19 16:45:42

Our sons-in-law are called Martin and Ruben. Either of these would be a good name for a new baby boy and they are both lovely chaps!

wot Tue 07-May-19 17:02:18

Yes, Annie and puts a slur on dianna.

Anniebach Tue 07-May-19 17:04:32

Congratulations Jang , hope you are cuddling the little mite soon x

Ilovecheese Tue 07-May-19 17:07:00

Marieeliz Why on earth are you assuming that it is left wing people who are sour faced and bitter. There is certainly a lot of malice on this thread towards the couple, but please don't put the blame on left wingers. I am left wing and am pleased the baby is born safely, as I am when any baby is born safely.
Jang Congratulations.

maxdecatt Tue 07-May-19 17:21:53

Anniebach.... James would be fitting as it would name the child after the paternal grandfather.

Has anyone seen this child yet? Why are they hiding it?
btw what colour is it....meaning is it a redhead like its father, or has it inherited the mothers genes?

ffinnochio Tue 07-May-19 17:25:34

Avalon. I really dislike the snide bigotry towards Americans that crops up on GN at times. Not just on this thread either. It’s narrow minded and very unpleasant.

I wish the happy couple every happiness.

annep1 Tue 07-May-19 17:26:53

So she had a home birth. Something more of us would choose if we had an operating room set up...but where would we put it??
It's no different to any other baby born today!!!!
I am reading The White Queen at the minute. Very enlightening regarding rightful heirs to the throne.
