Horrified by Alabama Abortion law

I am horrified by the new ruling that makes abortion illegal in the state of Alabama with not even exceptions for rape or incest victims .

The only exception is if the mothers life is endangered . Am I right in thinking this new law puts women back 100 years with no ability to make decisions about their own bodies ?

What are your thoughts ?

Blimey! How many "split condom incidents" have you have?!!!

None since avoiding nasty cheap Durex and paying a bit more for better brands...

How can the concept of condom splitting be such a surprise to you?

I haven't got a fuckin' clue! But I know it's wrong to abort a viable baby.

Mycatisahacker and Maryeliza, thank you, thank you, thank you for your wisdom, and respect for your fellow females. ✊

Gonegirl Sat 18-May-19 16:07:50

That was in answer to notanan's question about God know what.

notanan2 Sat 18-May-19 16:09:14

I haven't got a fuckin' clue!
Y'got that right!
Perhaps just stop there if you dont want to learn how things work before forming judgements

But I know it's wrong to abort a viable baby.
There is no such thing as a prophylactic abortion! Do you not know what abortion means?

maryeliza54 Sat 18-May-19 16:09:37

Well it doesn’t matter why the pregnancy happened does it?

notanan2 Sat 18-May-19 16:12:46

Well it doesn’t matter why the pregnancy happened does it?

No it doesnt. Abortion is for people who are pregnant but no longer want to be. How can we be on page 24 and people dont understand that

Gonegirl Sat 18-May-19 16:15:17

You really are an expert on it aren't you notanan!

Mycatisahacker Sat 18-May-19 16:16:18

I can tell you how abortions work Gonegirl

20 years ago our much wanted baby was scanned at 16 weeks and it was twins smilebut showing abnormalities.sad

It took another boood tests and other scans to assess the extent and state of the twins taking me up to 20 weeks. Another scan at 22 weeks, which if they had been I would have aborted.

It was pure agony and torture wanting to love these babies but knowing I might have to choose to abort them.

I would have because I don’t think it would have been acceptable to expect their much older siblings to have up care for them when we were gone. I also don’t feel it’s right to bring severely disabled people into the world totally my opinion

They were thankfully ok.

No one considers a late termination lightly
And it’s very upsetting to posters to criticise and judge other women when they have no idea of their situation.

Mycatisahacker Sat 18-May-19 16:18:08

Unacceptable sorry

Gonegirl Sat 18-May-19 16:18:16

I'm judging no one! I don't need to know about anyone's life history. This is a thread about abortion. And I've stated my views.

notanan2 Sat 18-May-19 16:19:52

You really are an expert on it aren't you notanan!

Not really I havent posted anything that I wouldnt expect to be covered by basic sex ed.

Are these all new concepts to you?

Why have you formed such strong judgements on a topic that you take pride in being ignorant about?

notanan2 Sat 18-May-19 16:21:18

I'm judging no one! I don't need to know about anyone's life history. This is a thread about abortion. And I've stated my views.

You have also stated (as if it is a vertuous badge of honour) how little you know about abortions. Yet you feel qualified to take a strong stance on the topic?

Mycatisahacker Sat 18-May-19 16:27:00

Notanan2

Well put.

Mycatisahacker Sat 18-May-19 16:28:39

But Gonegirl

You said yourself you are ignorant on the issue and know nothing about abortion so how can you have such a strong view? I mean you are perfectly entitled to but it’s strange.

Mycatisahacker Sat 18-May-19 16:29:52

You know what I always think ‘there but for the Grace of God’

You never know what’s around the corner for you or those you love

Mycatisahacker Sat 18-May-19 16:39:13

Glammy57

smile

Mycatisahacker Sat 18-May-19 16:45:45

Think about it.

Can anything ever be improved by forcing a woman to give birth to a baby she does not want or feels she cannot cope with?

Gonegirl Sat 18-May-19 16:58:06

Right. This tells you which ones you lot should be using. There are several to choose from, depending on - circumstances.

best condoms of 2018

Gonegirl Sat 18-May-19 16:58:30

Don't say I didn't try to be helpful.

Gonegirl Sat 18-May-19 16:58:51

You can get back to the original thread now. smile

notanan2 Sat 18-May-19 17:05:14

Gee thanks Gonegirl... but if the MAN doesnt use it or use it properly, because I have learnt not to assume abasic knowledge on this tread so: the condom goes on the man! what then?

Hmm? What then?

Gonegirl Sat 18-May-19 17:07:39

hmm

Gonegirl Sat 18-May-19 17:08:46

"what then"?!!! You really don't know?

paddyann Sat 18-May-19 17:09:40

gonegirl never mind the condom failures..I've had pill faiures and coil failures too.My first pregnancy happened when I was on the pill..that resulted in twins ,one I lost at 8 weeks and the other at 33 weeks when she died after 4 days ,condom was my next failure ,lost at 11 weeks, after several miscarriages I had a coil fitted yep you've guessed it failed .I miscarried that too and the coil which had embedded itself in my womb had to be removed under GA .Believe me contraception fails
