I’m voting Green in my area, but I would vote Lib Dem if it was indicating I should.

I had a mail shot from the Change Party wanting to remain as well but any remain campaign is far to diverse to make any difference when Farage get all the publicity.

Glammy57 Sun 19-May-19 11:36:14

I’m a staunch Labour supporter and have submitted my postal vote to reflect this. I am also a Remainer!

Whitewavemark2 Sun 19-May-19 11:37:13

It is so heartening to see us all on here ????

Glammy57 Sun 19-May-19 11:46:26

Whitewavemark2 - absolutely! ?

Mycatisahacker Sun 19-May-19 12:17:25

I have though no real idea what labour think of Brexit! I still don’t really know what their position is?

Charleygirl5 Sun 19-May-19 12:19:27

Whitewave- not all, I am voting tactically next week but I have never voted Labour in my life.

If Boris gets his wish, I may buy a single ticket to anywhere.

whywhywhy Sun 19-May-19 12:20:42

Liberal Democrats this time for me.

Mycatisahacker Sun 19-May-19 12:26:37

I think the gains will b Brexit party and Lib Dem. the 2 main parties are toast.

mumofmadboys Sun 19-May-19 13:55:06

I usually vote Labour but will vote Lib Dem this time. Firm remainer.

SirChenjin Sun 19-May-19 14:00:27

Agree with everything that Jane says. Lib Dem here this time - hell will freeze over before I vote for the SNP and the other parties are a shambles so DH and I are going LD this time.

Agree also that any future referendums should be a minimum of 60% to change the status quote. For example, up here we’ve now lived with 5 years of division and uncertainty and unless the next Indy referendum swings to yes right across the country with a minimum of 60% then that’s just going to continue - which is an awful situation to be living in.

Anything but SNP? One day you will see they are the ONLY party in Scotland with Scotlands interests at heart and not the interest of their Westminster masters .

varian Sun 19-May-19 16:23:15

The best advice for Remainers in all parts of England is to vote for the Liberal Democrats and send the message "Stop Brexit"

Jane10 Sun 19-May-19 16:24:23

They're not 'our masters'. We have representation there too. Don't forget that Scotland has punched well above its weight based on population size in the way of previous prime ministers.
Historically, we took over England when James VI and Ist took the throne.

Mycatisahacker Sun 19-May-19 16:44:05

But the SNP only have one aim don’t they? I think Nicola and Nigel are very similar to be honest obsessed with independence. Don’t you find them both very tiresome?

If you don’t want Ruth Davidson send her to England I think she’s blooming fab

SirChenjin Sun 19-May-19 16:59:05

No, we’re keeping Ruth mycat - she keeps Nicola on her toes. Sorry!

Grany Sun 19-May-19 17:31:29

On Marr Vince Cable said he said on austerity Lib Dems / Tories "It could have been worse"

I am voting Labour don't understand tactile vote if you want Labour vote Labour.

Thanks for that link WWMk2. This is the message we must try to hammer home.

I think most of the population are fed up with breexit and the way it has sucked the life out of our politics for the last three years, at the expense of far more important issues.

Pro-brexit politicians and journalists are allowed to get away with saying "People just want us to get on with it" as if leaving would be the end of the matter, when in fact it would only be the beginning of years and years of negotiations about trade and all the other elements of our national life which would be irrevocably disrupted.

The only way for us to move on asap is to STOP BREXIT.

Mycatisahacker Sun 19-May-19 18:26:00

varian

So you think just revoking article 50 is the end to this?

Another referendum may be seen as legitimate I grant you but just revoking? No we would see the rise of the far right as is across Europe as people feel their vote and their concerns are ignored by the political elite.

Mycatisahacker Sun 19-May-19 18:54:19

Grany

Tactile voting???? Sounds fun grin

Grany Sun 19-May-19 18:59:50

Ha Ha Mycatisahacker Didn't realise I wrote that ha ha would be rather fun ha ha wouldn't it

varian Sun 19-May-19 19:04:29

I think it is likely that another referendum will be needed to stop brexit.

Most MPs know very well that any kind of brexit would damage the country but they have been so intimidated by the threats from the brexiters that they would probably only revoke Article 50 if it was the only way to prevent a catastrophic no-deal brexit.
