Bloody Trump, sticking his nose in!

The arrogance of the man angry

janipat Sun 02-Jun-19 14:54:49

pinkjj27 no offence taken, sorry I missed the ironic intention of your post. I suppose I've seen and heard too many cite some of your examples as being very representative of younger people.

Trump should mind his own business. Obama should have minded his own business. Heads of States of other countries do not have any right to interfere in the business of the UK anymore than we have a right to interfere in the business of other countries.

rosecarmel Sun 02-Jun-19 15:36:04

Globalization- The globe "is" now one big business, from wealthy heads of state to impoverished immigrants risking life and limb- To each their own no longer exists- Our communities have become one- We are each others business-

I agree with you Septimia. My DH and I were saying that the best thing would be to completely ignore him - no one on the streets protesting, no media coverage, etc. Of course that won’t happen...

rosecarmel Sun 02-Jun-19 15:50:35

Yes, because being ignorant, on purpose, is the best solution-

Hopefully the British politians will take his endorsements into consideration and as a result vote for OTHER candidates. Anyone approved by Trump is probably not fit to hold office.

The final vote between the last two candidates in the Conservative Party leadership election will be made by the grass roots voters. That is those who are card carrying , paid up members of the Conservative Party.

Me for one. Its likely the Tory Party will collapse if they don't get this leader right. I will not say who I would be inclined to vote for but at least I have a say and Donald Trump may or may not have an influence on me.

But I still like him. If I have to hear what Elton and Co think, I see no reason why I cannot also hear what Donald and Co think.

The Latest: Police: We’ll only mention suspect’s name once

www.apnews.com/1a12e4a21382472489d620de92b2a462

""Police Chief James Cervera said when he does release the name, it will be only once. He said after that, “he will be forever referred to as the suspect because our focus now is the dignity and respect to the victims in this case and to their families.”"

NannyC2 Sun 02-Jun-19 16:06:44

Why do people have to be so angry and unkind? I just recently read an article about how so many people are becoming more and more angry......
What happened to kindness instead of judging people most of the time?

Robert Mueller, the special counsel, reignited demands for Donald Trump’s impeachment by breaking his two-year silence to deny that the US president is innocent of a crime.

In a sudden and dramatic turn, Mueller, whose report on Russian election interference and Trump campaign links to Moscow was published last month, delivered a sombre nine-minute statement that many construed as a signal to Congress to act on his finding that Trump sought to obstruct justice.

“If we had confidence that the president clearly did not commit a crime, we would have said that,” Mueller said from a podium at the justice department in his first public remarks since the investigation began. “We did not, however, make a determination as to whether the president did commit a crime.”

Mueller explained that his decision was based on longstanding justice department policy, rather than lack of evidence.

Of course Trump is by no means the only dubious character the Queen has had to welcome to our country during her long reign, but he should never have been foisted on her so early in his presidency. It only happened because Theresa May was so anxious to make the trade deals we would be desperate for if this brexit nonsense is not stopped.

grandtanteJE65 Sun 02-Jun-19 16:19:16

I don't imagine the demonstrations will do much good, but ignoring Trump would do even less, as he is so vain that he probably would not notice he was being ignored.

Hollycat Sun 02-Jun-19 16:20:07

Whatever you think of him he’s the only politician to actively try to put into practice the principles he was elected on. That, in itself, has to be a good thing. He is listening to the people who put him there, you can’t say that, hand on heart, about OUR politicians.

rosecarmel Sun 02-Jun-19 16:22:35

Kindness continues to exist, it's simply a matter of recognizing it- Certainly it could be difficult to recognize by anyone who insists kindness could mean only "this" or "that" -- which is in itself, kind of mean-

rosecarmel Sun 02-Jun-19 16:25:13

The possibility of impeachment exists-

Oldwoman70 Sun 02-Jun-19 16:25:50

May I ask if those stating he should not be making comments about British politics are the same people protesting about his election as president?

Tillybelle Sun 02-Jun-19 16:43:30

KatyK. I share your fears. When people vote for a "party" that is nothing of the sort, and like a man who is so right wing and ignorant at Farage, I greatly fear for us with Boris looming up as a possible leader. The world truly has gone mad it seems to me.
ayse grin yesss!

Tillybelle Sun 02-Jun-19 16:44:39

rosecarmel. Oh Good! How soon?

Tillybelle Sun 02-Jun-19 16:49:15

grandtanteJE65. That is a very astute observation! If only we could bring it about! Remember how he reacted to the numbers at his, (heck what was it?.... ) arrival at the White House? The place was half empty. The photos of Obamas same ceremony were put alongside and the people stretched more than double the length of those at Trump's? But Trump said there were more people at his!!! What a deluded Narcissist!

Tillybelle Sun 02-Jun-19 16:50:23

Who is going to take Boris up on the "bus NHS lie"?

Ginny42 Sun 02-Jun-19 16:52:59

Oldwoman70 I posted that the POTUS should not be aligning himself with one of the candidates for leader of the Tory party in the UK. He should remain impartial. I don't like him, but do not consider that I have any right as a UK citizen to comment on his appointment as POTUS.

That doesn't mean I wasn't disappointed that a man with proven record of misogyny and racism was to be the President of the United States, ergo arguably the most significant politician on earth.

phoenix Sun 02-Jun-19 16:53:37

Lightening the tone somewhat, especially in view of the posts where some have declared him "handsome" confused (so you would be happy for him to grab your "pussy"?) what about the obviously not natural tan (look around the eyes) and of course, the hair. There is a whole website dedicated to that!

Ginny42 Sun 02-Jun-19 17:00:52

Tillybelle Marcus Ball has brought the case and it's in court. District Judge, Margot Coleman, has said there is no realistic chance it can be concluded before the two candidates for Tory leader go to the vote.
Interesting. Watch this space.

rosecarmel Sun 02-Jun-19 17:32:08

Tillybelle, obviously, for some not soon enough- smile

Nancy Pelosi stated that, "Democrats are on the path to impeachment-" That "path" could cross the president's path is all that means- I'm not downplaying the seriousness or possibility, just stating a fact-

The Constitution provides two penalties for impeachment, the removal from office and future office- If the Democrats fail to deliver an ironclad case prior to the end of his term, or terms, in office it's possible that the information compiled during his position as president could be brought before criminal court-

Urmstongran Sun 02-Jun-19 17:41:39

Ooh “.... these awful men is you know when people say they like them and they are good people that you are talking to a racist so you know exactly who to avoid because no one who is not a racist would see anything remotely good in any of them“

Inflammatory much BlueBelle?

Do you really believe that statement? I have to disagree!
?

No color of the spectrum can lighten the tone of prejudice when presented in text -- or face to face conversations-

Urmstongran Sun 02-Jun-19 17:44:41

But I bet you’re just gorgeous phoenix

We have to stop this. Why are people so vociferous and downright judgemental and nasty all the time?

There’s a lot of hate around these days.

And keyboard warriors.
