To get the facts right, Billy Bunter was 'the owl of the Remove' at Greyfriars School. Not entirely sure what 'the Remove' was in a public school, but it sounds like some kind of form for those not quite up to the required standard! Maybe this didn't exist at Eton.

My post was a joke, I’ve only ever known Lemongrove as Lemongrove. Sometimes posters have a good reason to change their user names, perhaps if a family member finds out who they are on Gransnet, or a friend or colleague.
