It is idiotic to suggest Boris is mentally unwell.

Perhaps it's a nervous tic, brought on by the realisation that he's going to have to go the Brussels and negotiate his way out of this mess with countries he's systematically insulted over the years.

It must be the Boris equivalent of waking up and find that you didn't just dream you were naked in front a bunch of strangers, you actually are. Hell mend him.

Well, he's the one that gained popularity by using bumbling clown like behaviour to get it. I did, like many others, assume that he would become statesmanlike when PM but, alas, the shambolic behaviour doesn't appear to be an act; he really is like that.

Apart from writing all those silly articles Johnson has always been pro Europe. He only joined the leave campaign as part of his plan to one day be PM; he never expected leave to win. He now can't backtrack; he's in too deep. What that is doing to him, mentally I dread to think. I remember reading articles about people who live a lie and it tortures them. I don't think [unlike Farage] that he's actually a bad person, and I certainly wouldn't want to be him at this moment in time.

Actually, I'm no great fan of Corbyn but he's acting incredibly statesmanlike at the moment, especially sitting opposite the face pulling, shouting people surrounding Johnson last night.

Oh come on WadesNan criticism (often repeated ad nauseam) of Labour is everywhere on GN. But this thread is about a politician who behaved worse than a toddler would.

So is criticism of Tory politicians - if they are Tory they must be racist, facist, wealthy toffs. I long for sensible debate about politicians policies rather than blaming them for who their parents were, where they went to school and where they grew up.

Sound advice, not drinking.

Learning Latin, nothing wrong with that as it is the base for many modern day languages, plant names, medicinal terms etc. etc!

How many children are able to learn latin these days, I wonder?

Grammar Schools, most sixth forms and Universities.
