Corbyn last year
"Shamina Begun should be allowed to return to the UK. She was only a 16 year old immature child when she joined ISIS she cannot be held accountable for her actions at such a young age"

Corbyn last week
"We the people demand 16 year olds be given the vote in the UK, they are responsible and free thinking young adults"

The Brexiteer

I was wondering that. All this endless comment and for what purpose?

I'm no more likely to vote for Jeremy Corbyn today than I was when I joined GN

Even though I've read many supportive posts from intelligent posters

Imagine getting the main/most vocal political contributors on political threads in a pub somewhere. Would they speak to each other in the same way?.

Breathtaking. Channel 4 Researchers have put together the top 20 Jeremy Corbyn speeches over the last 30 years. They show a remarkable consistency of principle. Journalism at its very very best.

Corbyn and the Labour Party have lost touch with ordinary working class people. It's a party completely dominated by North London. Nigel Farage

Labour no longer represent Leave voting constituents in the North, Midlands and Midlands

Breathtaking? Corbyn’s rabble rousing, I think not.
Being able to rant at the home crowd is his speciality, as are things he can vote against and doesn’t like.A leader he isn’t.
He is a weak vacillating man promoted above his pay grade.

lemongrove Wed 06-Nov-19 19:22:42

....and of course he has lost touch, probably years ago ( if he was ever really in touch in the first place) he’s the eternal student looking for a protest.

Corbyn and principles do not make good bedfellows

trisher Thu 07-Nov-19 20:41:41

Sorry Firecracker here in the North East there is real support for Corbyn. Hence his reception last year when he spoke in the open air to over 2000 people and this year when over 1200 attended a meeting organised in less than 7 days. And of course he always gets invited to the Durham miners'gala where thousands stood in the pouring rain to hear him www.youtube.com/watch?v=SUax2d9paG0
Principles ideals and aspirations for all. That's what he is about. Pity there are some people who refuse to see it.

lemongrove Thu 07-Nov-19 20:45:29

Not just some trisher......millions.

trisher Thu 07-Nov-19 20:51:25

Evidence lemongrove? ah it's not something you deal in is it?

lemongrove Thu 07-Nov-19 20:56:05

What a strange post trisher !
Of course there are millions who ‘refuse to see it’.....all those who won’t vote for him.
What more evidence do you need?

trisher Thu 07-Nov-19 21:47:34

That won't be evidence until after the election lemon. But as you regard his speeches to ordinary working people as "rabble rousing" I think we can draw conclusions about what you think of them.

jura2 Fri 08-Nov-19 08:40:54

wow lemon- you've got it bad, very bad. I really do wonder what the history is here.

There is no way Corbyn is antisemite. He is pro Palestinians, and for extremely good reasons. So am I, and millions others.

maddyone Fri 08-Nov-19 08:47:28

Pro Palestinians? And who is pro Jewish, and pro Israel? I am. The Jews deserve a homeland just as much as you or I do.

maddyone Fri 08-Nov-19 08:49:28

Going back to the OP, all I can say is you couldn’t make it up!
The girl is a child one day, and a woman the next! I hope she’s never allowed to set foot in the UK again, along with all the rest of the ISIS murderers.

jura2 Fri 08-Nov-19 08:52:16

Not by stealing and destroying the land and lives of others with massive expansion, no.

grapefruitpip Fri 08-Nov-19 08:55:24

maddy, do you have any basic grasp of history at all?

Grandad1943 Fri 08-Nov-19 08:58:51

Corbyn being a antisemite, nonsense.

We do know that Johnson is Islamaphobic, if not where is the inquiry he promised in regard to that in the Tory Party?

Anniebach Fri 08-Nov-19 09:01:59

Same for me maddy , several Labour MP’s have been on the deselected list, they are Jews.

Grandad1943 Fri 08-Nov-19 09:06:57

Yes and any number of high ranking Tories have been kicked out of the party for rampant Islamophobia and then alowwed back into the party within days

No there is real resolve for you.

maddyone Fri 08-Nov-19 09:11:33

Yes grapefruitpip, I have an extremely good knowledge of the holocaust and how the Jewish homeland came to be formed. Every Arab state was opposed to it, and some want to see Israel erased from the planet even today. I support Israel. Sorry you don’t appear to like it, but that’s life.

Anniebach Fri 08-Nov-19 09:15:37

maddy the Labour Party held an enquiry, all was well and
the person holding the enquiry went straight to the Lords,

Baroness Shami Chakrabarti

Grandad1943 Fri 08-Nov-19 09:23:33

So, maddyone you support the Israeli state expansion in the West Bank that is forcibly taking away the lands and homes of Arab/ Palestinian people with no consultation or compensation whatsoever making ever more refugees.

That's Israel for you.

Anyway, I am off to the office, join again later.

MaizieD Fri 08-Nov-19 09:27:53

I see people are confusing anti-semitism with anti-Zionism, again...

maddyone Fri 08-Nov-19 10:13:09

No, anti-Zionism is a prejudice against the Jewish movement for the right of self determination and the right of the Jewish people to a homeland in the State of Israel.
Anti- Zionism means the Jews have no right to their own homeland.
Well I’m afraid I beg to differ.
