Harry & Megan drop HRH Titles

(478 Posts)

I think that they have agreed to drop the HRH titles from April, as there would have been too many conditions to making money while holding the title.
They are also, apparently, going to repay the £2.4m of taxpayers money spent on Frogmore.
So, it looks like neither of them will be back to the UK very often at all.
I think that this is the right decision, do you?

Anniebach please do not let the Sneering Sisters drive you away, I'm sick to death of their spite and holier than thou attitudes, just looking for opportunities to derail threads. Mostly I don't dignify their rubbish with a reply but this has sunk to a whole new level.flowers flowers

I’m not much involved in these threads but I am shocked at Sparkii’s recent patronising and deeply unpleasant posts towards Anniebach.

Anniebach, you have friends here. Don’t let one spiteful person drive you away. flowers

She is very photogenic, isn't she pinkquartz

Do you think perhaps a little time away from this story and continue to make use of the support services which you have been offered... may be a way forward

This part of your post. ??

All the talk about granting titles and titles by birth. What a load of codswallop in this day and age.

No it's not spite. Spite us smarmy and clever and sneeky. Spite doesn't care

I can’t even pretend to understand your post sparkii but one thing we don’t do on GN is pick on a member at her most vulnerable point, kick her when she is down.

Callistemon Tue 21-Jan-20 18:43:19

No, perhaps you're right, if spite is clever

There is nothing clever about your posts.

dragonfly46 Tue 21-Jan-20 18:43:17

Sparkii I do not usually join these threads but I have to say I am thoroughly shocked by your insensitive post. Your Post is completely out of line!

sparkii Tue 21-Jan-20 18:42:47

Please please tell me where I have ever ever said anything unkind about a personal tragedy suffered by Annie. Never ever in a million years.

MawB Tue 21-Jan-20 18:40:46

Out of order *sparkii - badly done.

Callistemon Tue 21-Jan-20 18:38:32

sparkii your name may change frequently but your posts are always recognisable and generally spiteful.

Anniebach Tue 21-Jan-20 18:38:00

I will leave the thread , I will NOT have my darling daughters
suffering used in an attempt to belittle me.

Buffybee Tue 21-Jan-20 18:37:04

sparkii Someone needs to take you by the shoulders and have a few firm words now.
Totally uncalled for comments to Anniebach.
Just who do you think you are?

sparkii Tue 21-Jan-20 18:35:40

Of course, but if the external services, the GP and so on are offering you a lifebuoy, grab it firmly with both hands.

Anniebach Tue 21-Jan-20 18:33:41

Sparkii it takes more than a few firm words to come to terms with the suicide of a beloved daughter.

lavenderzen Tue 21-Jan-20 18:32:29

A disgraceful post Sparkii.

Please Annie don't take any notice of this x.

sparkii Tue 21-Jan-20 18:32:01

Colluding and constantly propping up is not helping. We are not part of the RF. If the conversation was about Rita and Jim from Coronation Street, over and over again would it be any better.

I agree Pinkquartz, Meghan is a beautiful woman, and she looks happy with her baby and her dogs. I feel sure she doesn’t mind being photographed, she appears to enjoy it even. That’s not a problem if she’s okay about it. I’m not sure how okay Harry is with it. Oh oh, it’s just been on BBC news that the paparazzi took the photos, they were hiding in bushes and are camped outside the house. Oh dear, this is exactly what Harry wanted to get away from.

maddyone Tue 21-Jan-20 18:15:27

Agreed, a nasty post to Annie, totally uncalled for.

maddyone Tue 21-Jan-20 18:13:48

That is entirely possible Calendargirl.
Harry has obviously had a difficult time in the UK. He has had to negotiate with his family and he has not been able to secure the agreement he hoped for, according to the SussexRoyal website. It cannot have been a very happy time for him at all. He has voiced his unhappiness about having certain things removed ie re the armed forces, and other things. He appears to think, according to what he had said, that he is going to live a quiet life, pretty much out of the spotlight, except for certain well paid appearances. He has then arrived back in Canada to find his wife and child all over the internet. I can’t imagine that he was pleased, it’s not what he thought he was getting by giving up the royal life.

annsixty Tue 21-Jan-20 18:12:37

Sparkii
That remark to Anniebach was unpleasant and uncalled for.

merlotgran Tue 21-Jan-20 18:11:36

Sparkii That's a shocking post.
