Incidentally the responses on Quora are far more blunt and cutting than anything I have seen on Gransnet.

The question that needs to be asked is: why does this couple require such intensive security?
I am well aware that Harry is high profile, apparently for his time in Afghanistan, along with thousands of other military personnel who receive no protection at all, as well as for his royal birth.
But he has chosen deliberately to reject his place in the royal family and his country with the security it provides.
There should be no question of America or Britain having to fund his protection; he has placed his family in a less than safe environment and must fund it himself.
But I doubt he will; he is revealing an increasingly unpleasant side of his character, a complete lack of empathy for others and a huge sense of entitlement.

I’m just wondering how many of us had heard of Meghan Markle before she started dating Prince Harry. I certainly hadn’t. I don’t think she was famous at all except for the people who watched the apparently second rate tv show. Had she been successful we would have heard of her before Prince Harry. Let’s face it, we’ve all heard of Oprah Winfrey and Victoria Beckham. We’ve all heard of Elton John and Serena Williams. They only started fawning over her because of who she married. For goodness sake, take the blinkers off your eyes. It’s amazing that republicans can be so blind.

As for celebrities fawning over H+M, Meghan knew that would happen, and that’s why she invited these famous people who were unknown to her personally, to her wedding. We’ve all been taken for fools, she clearly had a game plan.

We watched it, until the story line became so unbelievable ( to us anyway) she was ok in it, there were others better and others worse.

I never saw "Suits" but had the impression it was launched on the back of the success of "The Good Wife" but an inferior variation of that series.
