Are you sure, Harry?

Not about your decision to cut and run from your country and family.
Not about bleating that you feel guilty about isolating in a multi-million pound mansion in LA during Lockdown.
Not about suggesting to frazzled parents that they should celebrate the moment, rolling around the floor in hysterics. confused

But....When you made that call asking for money generated by your wedding to be used for feeding children during the pandemic, are you really sure it was the Archbishop of Canterbury who picked up the phone?? grin

Are people on this thread actually obsessed?

Jabberwok Sun 19-Apr-20 13:11:28

Amen to that Annie!

In the words of Captain Mainwaring.....'Stupid Boy!'

Except he's not a boy and should know better.

Gosh the replies posted after the article , ‘ she got his brain and his b*lls’, just one of many .

maddyone Sun 19-Apr-20 19:22:33

Why is Harry making these pronouncements? I don’t understand, I thought he wanted out. I wish he’d just get on with whatever he’s doing in LA and leave Britain to get on with it. Harry is no longer relevant. Seems he thinks he is though apparently.

Anniebach Sun 19-Apr-20 20:13:56

He is a spare part now, he has given up his extended family, given up a life he has lived for 35 years, given up shooting, hunting, stalking, fishing, acting the clown, royal duties.

Megan has it all, her mother, tv fame, wealth, and living back
home.

Seems no give and take in this marriage

merlotgran Sun 19-Apr-20 20:34:33

At the moment though she's an out of work actress, married to an out of work prince, living in a rented house and having to self isolate like the rest of us.

Handing out food parcels with Harry trailing along in her wake shows just how desperate they are to be noticed.

Bridgeit Sun 19-Apr-20 20:40:15

Why see it only in terms of what Harry has given up.
Like the rest of us often do he has chosen a different path for the time being, which will in time perhaps change again.
He has for the moment chosen what he believes he wants, until & unless that changes let’s hope he is happy .
There are no guarantees no matter who you are, I for one did not heed the advice I was given , I ended unhappy with that particular situation eventually, I do not regret it because at the time it absolutely was what I believed in & wanted.
A heart cannot be stolen it goes where it wants to go.

Anniebach Sun 19-Apr-20 20:52:54

Bridgeit what has Megan given up, she is known for
‘Moving on’ to get what she desires.

maddyone Sun 19-Apr-20 20:53:58

The trouble is though Bridgeit that we’re having these drip, drip, drip bits of ‘news’ about them when Britain has enough to do with Coronavirus management, and as he/they chose to go to live in Canada??? or LA or wherever, they should just get on with it and stop assuming that anyone actually cares over here. It’s clear that Meghan’s ‘friends’ are dropping the nod to the press because LA is so unbelievably huge that the chance of just happening to be within 10 square miles of anyone you know in LA is simply impossible. The press are told to photograph H+M and then it’s suddenly world wide news. I just wish they’d stop it and get on with whatever they want to do and leave Britain alone.

merlotgran Sun 19-Apr-20 20:57:48

I actually think Meghan has given up more than she realises.

Bridgeit Sun 19-Apr-20 20:58:22

That’s the point Annie, it isn’t about who gives up what.
It’s a journey that can pan out any which way, if a person chooses a course & it goes wrong, they will have had the pleasure & the pain, if they choose not to follow the course that they believe in then they will be unhappy anyway & right away.

Bridgeit Sun 19-Apr-20 20:59:30

Maddyone , it is the media , they are making money out of it& we don’t have to read or hear about it if we don’t want to.

Anniebach Sun 19-Apr-20 21:48:22

But they are tipping the media the wink, I don’t think people
are rushing to buy newspapers if they are in them. I do think
they think so, they need media coverage , that’s what is so sad about it, Harry making speeches and talking rubbish.

Bridgeit Sun 19-Apr-20 21:52:42

How do you know this Annie?

Anniebach Sun 19-Apr-20 22:14:51

A link was posted yesterday, they were attending the Mansion
House, a photographer who took a great photograph said he had been talking to their security , they got out of their car
ten metres from the Mansion House and walked.

The photographs of them delivering food, the dog walking, no
security stepping in.

Bridgeit Sun 19-Apr-20 22:27:39

What does a link was posted mean please ?

Roni Sun 19-Apr-20 22:28:39

The Duke & Duchess of Cambridge are a wealthy couple. They live off the taxpayers money which funds their lavish lifestyle.
So, the 'undisclosed sum paid to NHS' is the least they can do!

Anniebach Sun 19-Apr-20 22:39:15

A link was posted means a poster posted a link

Bridgeit Sun 19-Apr-20 22:49:46

Thanks Annie, but does it come with a verifiable original source who , where & when .?

Bridgeit Sun 19-Apr-20 22:51:27

A link , a link to what,? a sentence taken from what .? a speech, an article written by someone else ?

Chestnut Sun 19-Apr-20 23:10:10

It seems Harry has put his foot in it again:
'Prince Harry has sparked fury by claiming the UK's Covid-19 crisis is not as bad as the public are being told. In an interview with the Declassifed podcast, the 35-year-old said that things here are 'better than we are led to believe through certain corners of the media'. But his comments were branded 'outrageous' by expert Professor Karol Sikora, who asked: 'What are his qualifications for making these comments — other than deserting his country in its hour of need?'

maddyone Sun 19-Apr-20 23:21:58

Good for Professor Karol Sikora.
How dare Harry, or for that matter anyone at all, make such an ignorant statement.

Bridgeit if you follow the link you will no doubt find out. Usually two sources are required for news but if you are “tipped off” about, say, an appearance somewhere or other, you send a photographer and get a photo, logically you have “proved” the tip.

The amazing thing I think is the new items in the news today that they will “no longer co-operate” with the UK tabloids. Who would have thought it. You can’t really stop working with the tabloids unless you had previously been doing so.
