Not about your decision to cut and run from your country and family.
Not about bleating that you feel guilty about isolating in a multi-million pound mansion in LA during Lockdown.
Not about suggesting to frazzled parents that they should celebrate the moment, rolling around the floor in hysterics. confused

But....When you made that call asking for money generated by your wedding to be used for feeding children during the pandemic, are you really sure it was the Archbishop of Canterbury who picked up the phone?? grin

Bridgeit it wasn’t a link, trisher posted in full what the
photograph had said, you will find it among posts from
Saturday.

Your questions will have to be asked of trisher.

It was on the radio news this morning that H&M are banning some of the British press from reporting on them, or some such, as they are not portraying them accurately.

The Sun, Mirror, Express and Mail were the naughty ones.

trisher Mon 20-Apr-20 09:48:39

Just to correct the usual inaccuracies posted by Annie the photographer -Samir Hussein who took the umbrella photograph spoke to the press officer, not security. It really is delusional to think that they wouldn't walk somewhere to enable photographs to be taken or to assume that it is possible to stage a photograph like that in a few seconds or even minutes. It was just a chance photograph but they did look good and that's what upsets the GNers.

Airbrushed Hollywood Perfection.

What they mean is, they want to control their publicity so that they can profit from it financially.

Harry has not yet realised that his only asset in whatever future he is pursuing is his royal birth. He is not yet aware that the Great British Public is generally unimpressed by his recent actions. As a man of limited ability with very little common sense he resembles a P.G. Wodehouse character, but is rapidly shedding the charm.

This is just another one of their announcements about a non announcement.

'We're not talking to tabloids' just means. 'We'll make sure there's something for the tabloids to talk about.' hmm

Eglantine21 Mon 20-Apr-20 10:12:06

All publicity is good publicity ?

Anniebach Mon 20-Apr-20 10:12:24

They look forward to working with journalists and media
.organisations - all over the world !

Anniebach Mon 20-Apr-20 10:17:30

So funny, it’s reported in the Mail.

oscaro11 Mon 20-Apr-20 10:22:41

She’s probably worried about what will come out this week in her court case.
Also, the set up recent photos were taken by the same photographer who photographed her father getting measured for his suit for the wedding. What a coincidence.....not!

Jabberwok Mon 20-Apr-20 10:40:29

Prince William has a his own private fortune left to him by his mother, which was from her private family money! This is where his undisclosed contribution came from! Apart from royal duties he is not funded by the tax payer, but by his father from the Dutchy of Cornwall.

Sparklefizz Mon 20-Apr-20 10:41:47

Harry also had his share of Diana's own private fortune, but he hasn't donated anything.

Jabberwok Mon 20-Apr-20 11:04:44

Exactly! Perhaps Harry considers £34 million, + £2 million from his father, + £4 from his wife a paultry sum and has difficulty making ends meet ?!!

almostelderly Mon 20-Apr-20 11:08:56

Every cloud has a silver lining. Hopefully we won't be subjected to coverage of Harry and his wife every day now he has severed all ties with the tabloids. We did have some respite when they fled to Los Angeles but that did not last. Wasn't Meghan the woman who said she would never return to America whilst Trump was in power? How times change when Hollywood is in sight.

Slap on wrist for Harry

Prince Phillip has issued a statement

The Duke of Edinburgh has thanked key workers who are helping to make sure that 'the infrastructure of our life continues' in the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Prince Philip, 98, said he wanted to recognise the 'vital and urgent' medical and scientific work taking place.

In his message, the duke, who retired from public duties in 2017, also gave thanks to key workers including those involved in food production and distribution, refuge collection and postal and delivery services.

Philip, in his tribute published on the royal family's social media channels, said: 'As we approach World Immunisation Week, I wanted to recognise the vital and urgent work being done by so many to tackle the pandemic; by those in the medical and scientific professions, at universities and research institutions, all united in working to protect us from Covid-19.

Jabberwok Mon 20-Apr-20 12:07:49

As you say almostelderly, every cloud has a silver lining! If it means hearing less of these two clowns, then that has to be good news indeed!

Jabberwok Mon 20-Apr-20 12:08:46

??? to Prince Phillip. Thank you Sir!

maddyone Mon 20-Apr-20 12:20:29

I haven’t seen Prince Philip’s message, but how lovely that at his great age, he is thinking of others and recognising them and the work they’re doing, as opposed to his grandson who’s making it all about himself and his wife. I’m sick to the back teeth of hearing what Harry has said and wish he would just shut up, and the same goes for his tinsel town wife. Why don’t they do what they claimed they wanted to do and live a private life? That was what they said they wanted wasn’t it? If they want to contribute or work for charities why don’t they do it quietly and anonymously like millions of others do?

Galaxy Mon 20-Apr-20 12:25:19

It takes all sorts though doesnt it I am not the slightest bit interested in what Prince Philip has to say but I manage to recognise he can say what he likes, just like Harry.

Anniebach Mon 20-Apr-20 12:25:47

Best Harry avoids his grandfather ?

newnanny Mon 20-Apr-20 12:25:47

The Duke of Edinburgh put out a statement in UK. H&M put out statement on same day saying they were refusing to engage with some newspapers. They really can't bare for othe royals to get press coverage. H&M will be getting a lot of press soon, when they take Daily Mail to court for publishing letter M wrote to her father and he gave to Daily Mail to print along with story about how unhappy he was to get the letter from his daughter.

Anniebach Mon 20-Apr-20 12:28:25

Harry lied, his grandfather didn’t.

Nannapat1 Mon 20-Apr-20 13:07:44

Ah, so that's why they've just written to the tabloids telling them there will be zero engagement in the future!
The less we hear from Harry and Meghan, or about them, the better as far as I'm concerned.

maddyone Mon 20-Apr-20 13:13:17

Nannapat
Agreed.

MawB Mon 20-Apr-20 13:16:01

In the spirit of “preserving their privacy” I hear on the news today that H&M are releasing texts they sent to Thomas Markle confused
