Trump suggest injecting disinfectant to fight Coronavirus.
Sure way of killing a few more people.

Starblaze Mon 27-Apr-20 19:12:27

They say those with narcissistic personality disorder go two ways. Those in positions of power and wealth become malignant and overt in their behaviour. The more they get away with it, the worse they become.

Those who do not have positions of power or wealth realise their behaviour will leave them with no one. So they become covert. They choose one or two victims to scapegoat and abuse so they can appear normal to others.

Its clear Trump is the first kind. Yet the media are trying to normalise him and he has masses of adoring followers. He can and will continue to become worse. Especially as he appears to be suffering some sort of other mental illness or dementia on top that removes any filter at all.

He just sounds like a paranoid, jealous, tantruming mess.

Has anyone else seen this? V interesting- and alarming - reading. www.euronews.com/2020/04/22/joining-up-the-dots-shows-the-true-depths-of-trump-s-dangerous-narcissistic-pathology-view

There do seem to be a lot of very very stupid people in the USA. Hence Trump got elected and may even be re-elected.

Why could Bill Gates not be Potus?

Starblaze Mon 27-Apr-20 18:26:42

Imagine being insane and having just enough clarity and slyness left to say what your followers want to hear so they will defend you rabidly. It scares me how many supporters he has

SueDonim Mon 27-Apr-20 18:22:08

I remember that ad for Domestos, Fennel and used to worry about the unknown germs! It turns out I wasn’t wrong.

As for Trump, I think he’s way past madness. angry

BeeWitch Mon 27-Apr-20 18:02:36

There's a quotation I like .. "better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt" (attributed to either Mark Twain or AbrahamLincoln)... Think it applies here. grin

Fennel Mon 27-Apr-20 16:12:21

lemongrove - a friend of my Mum was a heavy smoker and the front of her white hair went yellow from nicotine. She tried to bleach it with domestos and it all fell out shock.
I remember as a child reading that " Domestos kills all known germs" and thinking why not use it for measles etc?
As others have said I think Trump, as well as being not very bright, has arrested emotional development, not much higher than a toddler.

lemongrove Mon 27-Apr-20 15:58:38

I wonder what his next musing thought will be? Put bleach on your head...you will turn a lovely shade of blonde as well as beating Covid-19.

Elegran Mon 27-Apr-20 15:56:24

" . . . he’s not in charge of a military dictatorship where thousands would have doubtless lost their lives at his hands."

Not yet. He could still be re-elected, then who knows what may happen . . . ?

FarNorth Mon 27-Apr-20 15:25:56

"I was asking a question sarcastically to reporters like you, just to see what would happen"

Even if that was true, what sort of nutter does that in the middle of addressing their nation?

Starblaze Mon 27-Apr-20 15:21:49

I read a quote from Ricky Gervais I think it was, before Trump became president. It said something like "the fact we need to put 'do not drink' on bottles of bleach makes me believe Trump can become president.

That was some serious foreshadowing

phoenix Mon 27-Apr-20 13:34:02

I saw in the Telegraph on Saturday that he now says he was being "sarcastic", saying "I was asking a question sarcastically to reporters like you, just to see what would happen".

hmm If anyone saw the footage of the interview where he urged medical experts to look into the idea of injecting with disinfectant, then it seemed pretty clear that he was serious!

This might help

Trump recently had the leading vaccine expert, Rick Bright, removed from his position at Health and Human Services because he disagreed with him-

Franbern Sat 25-Apr-20 09:12:11

A couple of years ago I said that Trump had 'Roman Emperor syndrome'. This Emperors who thought they became gods and had all sort of supernatural powers. They also, like Trump, were surrounded by courtiers who were too scared to challenge these dangerous fantasies - and thousands suffered due to this madness.
Trump is exactly the same. He really believes that he has an enhanced intelligence, is the man every woman wants, knows about everything. He is totally insane - and in his position, dangerously so to very many people.
He stated that he 'loved the poorly education'.....sadly, they are the ones who have most suffered from his Presidency. And are poorly educated enough to really believe everything their God is saying.
Glad the bleach and Disinfectant companies in USA got out warnings so quickly, but there will be many of those 'poorly educated; who will be told that anything in opposition to what Trump says is 'Fake News', and they will go ahead with killing themselves.
His only interest at the moment is to become a second term President in November. Nothing else is important to him, CV 19 is just a nuisance (as far as he is concerned_ in that it is interrupting his campaign . A meglomaniac is always a danger, when he is the so-called leader of so much of the world (I do not like the term 'free world'), he is a pandemic in himself.

maddyone Fri 24-Apr-20 18:04:22

Think the answer is, yes.

phoenix Fri 24-Apr-20 18:02:35

Agree with MawB, very simple answer, yes.

But would add that having someone with that sort of mentality in charge of such a power as the U.S is very, very scary.

MawB Fri 24-Apr-20 17:38:28

Yes

rosecarmel Fri 24-Apr-20 17:13:20

Douche & Birth Control ..

SirChenjin Fri 24-Apr-20 16:43:00

He is utterly mad but not in an eccentric, harmless, amusing way. We can be glad of two things - firstly, we’ll only have to put up with him for a few more years at most, and secondly, he’s not in charge of a military dictatorship where thousands would have doubtless lost their lives at his hands.

Gummie Fri 24-Apr-20 16:23:45

He’s completely and utterly deranged, but sadly the Americans seem to like him.

Callistemon Fri 24-Apr-20 14:56:48

jaylucy grin that is a classic !

I would think that egomaniac is the best description.

MawB Fri 24-Apr-20 14:19:54

As Marydoll said, there is already a thread on this

He's also suggested shining ultra violet light into the body - I suppose he means using one of those miniature cameras that surgeons use.

Nutty as a fruitcake, as my mum used to say. I is a disservice to fruitcakes though.
