We are wrestling a mugger to the ground and this is the dangerous part. Together, we can do it. Just hold tight for a little longer British people.

I’ve missed his enthusiasm, his optimism, his confidence and his ability to galvanise us for the common good.

He is arranging cross party talks to bring us all together.

Welcome back that man!

When I first read the OP I thought that the country was having a collective loss of reason then I noticed the date

Me too Parsley3!!! I actually looked on Sky News to see if something had happened this morning that I’d missed. Then I thought the thread was a joke. Finally, looked at the date and it all fell into place. I have to say, reading those initial post was one of the most depressing things I’ve encountered. Did posters really believe that back then; and do they believe it now?Johnson is truly the worst thing that has ever happened to this country - IMO of course!

‘From where?’

Judging by today’s photos of him on the tube; a skip

Instead of him poncing daily food deliveries, and decorating costs from his chums/donors, he might be better asking one of them to pay for him to have a decent haircut, and be fitted out for clothes that fit.

Contrived scruffy slob that he is, simply because he thinks looking unkempt makes him look "working class".?

He'd have to do some work first, DiamondLily.

Yes, that attitude of thinking working class walk around scruffy (most don't) just serves to reinforce how little he knows about "average Joe Public".

Still, he cares little for them anyway.

He just uses them to enhance his career, no more no less.?

We working class are just proles to earn the profit, to feather the nests of the elite. Work in silence and die without pension would be the conservative ideal, for the working classes.

Yes, and Brexit/Corbyn notwithstanding, I will never understand why Northern red wall voters voted for him in 2019.?

He has always made clear his contempt for the North, and the working class, and his daft and phoney promises about levelling up are crumbling by the day. ?

Still, Corbyn has gone, Brexit is done (albeit badly), so at the next election it will be about the cost of living etc as usual.

That was a surreal couple of mins while I read all the posts on the first 2 pages before I realised the thread was from 2020.

To use his mugger analogy I think we’ve all been well and truly mugged and I don’t mean by covid.

DiamondLily Tue 17-May-22 15:47:21

What's more worrying is that people still think the mugger is ok..?

^Yes, the shine has definitely tarnished, but no one inspires much confidence nowadays, whoever they are^

Zelenskey?

I meant in this country.
