Can you think of a Prime Minister worse than Johnson?

I don’t mean whether you agree with certain political policies, I am talking about competence, knowledge and integrity.

I truthfully can’t think of a single one.

All PMs have a weakness, no doubt but this goes beyond anything I’ve every seen or read.

Lucca thanks for the link, certainly sums it up perfectly.

"can I think of..."?
One word "NO"

@paddy Anne Boris Johnson also showed his ignorance when Stephen Timms asked him about a family who cannot get any benefits because they have ‘leave to remain’ and a condition of that is that they have no recourse to public funds. They’ve lived and worked in UK for years and their children were born here. Boris had absolutely no idea about it. He didn’t bother to do any preparation.

Well said

Anniebach Thu 28-May-20 14:19:29

How could Johnson have prepared for questions without notice of the questions ?

Elliegran Thu 28-May-20 14:23:17

I agree with you Jabberwok Blair was by far the worst pm. Destabilised the middle east and the world is still dealing with the consequences.

MissAdventure Thu 28-May-20 14:26:21

I'm sure common sense would have told Johnson what the the questions were likely to be.

Whitewavemark2 Thu 28-May-20 14:41:00

Every other Prime Minister has prepared, what on earth makes Johnson the exception?

Callistemon Thu 28-May-20 14:41:01

I think Gordon Brown was a hopeless Prime Minister.

That's not because I dislike him, btw. I don't and have been impressed by what I have seen of him, although that is little, since he quite.
He just wasn't cut out for the job.

Callistemon Thu 28-May-20 14:41:18

quit!

Anniebach Thu 28-May-20 15:00:23

Gordon and Sarah Brown are working for charities, they don’t
go on tv and crow about it.

Ilovecheese Thu 28-May-20 15:04:30

Surely even a Prime Minister as lazy as this one could have done a little bit of preparatory work with his advisers to try to anticipate what questions would be asked.

MayBee70 Thu 28-May-20 15:10:53

Gordon Brown has been on the radio quite a lot over the past few weeks and I’ve been incredibly impressed with the advice that he’s been giving. Clear, concise, sensible, forward thinking.

cupaffull Thu 28-May-20 15:16:20

Yes Corbyn......completely ineffectual among other things. Blair.... an out and out liar.
Given it takes months for a person to recover after a stay in ICU, we have to accept the PM is still unwell. He's certainly out of step with the public as regards DC.

cupaffull Thu 28-May-20 15:18:15

And though GB has many sterling qualities, he led the way in the Financial Crisis. But he sold our gold reserves for a pittance. So no one is perfect.

Roni Thu 28-May-20 15:19:39

I agree. Johnson & Cummings bend rules to suit them.

Whitewavemark2 Thu 28-May-20 15:20:29

Wow I had no idea that Corbyn had been prime minister!! I missed that entirely

Anniebach Thu 28-May-20 15:23:29

Corbyn did do much to help Johnson gain the job

Happygirl79 Thu 28-May-20 15:55:01

BJ doesn't even bother to try to hide his in aptitudes
He is uncaring and unable to understand why we won't just do as we are told. He thinks we are all brainless a d can't think for ourselves
He is laughing at us all
Unless our MPs step up we are screwed

Happygirl79 Thu 28-May-20 15:55:48

Yes without doubt he is the worst PM in living memory

Elliegran Thu 28-May-20 16:08:29

Boris Johnson is the man we need for Prime Minister at the moment. He is doing a good job in very difficult circumstances whilst recovering from Covid19. It's a shame a few people and the media cannot give him more credit. Well done Boris.

MissAdventure Thu 28-May-20 16:09:16

grin

growstuff Thu 28-May-20 16:11:47

Is that a spoof Elliegran? I can't believe that anybody could have written that in all seriousness.

Whitewavemark2 Thu 28-May-20 16:12:57

elliegran ????

growstuff Thu 28-May-20 16:15:56

Brown didn't sell our gold reserves for a pittance. He sold them when the prices were rising, but should have waited longer. Holding gold reserves in a modern economy, when the currency is stable, isn't a sensible thing to do because there isn't much you can do with them.
