The FBI has arrested British socialite Ghislaine Maxwell, an ex-girlfriend of the disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein.
She was reportedly arrested in New Hampshire on charges related to Epstein and is due in federal court later.
She has apparently denied any involvement in or knowledge of Epstein's alleged sexual misconduct.
Epstein died in prison on 10 August as he awaited, without the chance of bail, his trial on sex trafficking charges.
He was arrested last year in New York following allegations that he was running a network of underage girls - some as young as 14 - for sex. His death was determined to be suicide.

Well, I wonder if this “plot is thickening” ?

Well I’ve finished the series.

As far as I’m concerned they are scum of the highest order.

annie he wasn’t an unnamed employee. You are making assumptions in defence of that scum.

tickingbird if seeking truth is deemed to be obsessed then indeed I am! And proud to be so.

Anniebach Sat 04-Jul-20 18:28:16

No Whitewave you have gone too far in accusing me of
speaking in the defence of ?, you may choose to believe anything said by unnamed accusers, I do not , I don’t know if
the employee was speaking the truth or not, I don’t know if
such a person exits, neither do you. Because you want something to be true doesn’t make it true.

You aren’t seeking truth though WWM2. You’ve watched a Netflix programme and you’re posting on this forum as if it’s facts. It’s up to the courts to seek the truth and hopefully they’ll find the truth, much like they did with the Pakistani grooming gangs.

A Netflix programme ? Good grief, I have only seen one hour
of tv on Netflix, the programme was a load of rubbish and I know because I was at the place and the time they dramatised.

tickingbird Sat 04-Jul-20 18:37:09

I’ve just read that the woman (Rose McGowan) that started the ball rolling in the Harvey Weinstein case is calling for Bill Clinton to be arrested over his involvement in the Epstein case.

Anniebach Sat 04-Jul-20 18:40:15

Did she claim she was sexually abused by Clinton ?

Whitewavemark2 Sat 04-Jul-20 18:56:47

Unless either of you have seen the documentary I will assume that you are defending the indefensible.

annie the employee wasn’t unnamed. He gave evidence in court.

tickingbird Sat 04-Jul-20 19:18:20

WWM2 I’m not defending them; I’m keeping an open mind. Epstein obviously had an unhealthy penchant for young girls. I saw someone else interviewed quite a while ago but I honestly can’t remember who it was. He said he had lots of young, good looking girls on the plane and his home BUT he did say that although they were young they weren’t children. He put them around 18. He also said that although it may seem ‘off’ to many; in the world of the mega rich, older men with beautiful teenage girls isn’t unusual.

I wish I could remember who it was but he wasn’t in anyway connected to Epstein. At the end of the day I doubt we will ever know. His death is highly suspicious and maybe he was going to spill the beans on other powerful men.

Whitewavemark2 Sat 04-Jul-20 19:31:19

And that makes it right!! For goodness sake wake up.

The victims ranged from about 14 through to their early 20s

They were preyed upon whilst at school and trafficked to the rich and powerful.

There is a mountain of evidence that the FBI and Federal courts have accumulated. None of it came out because Epstein died. Epstein recorded everything that went on in his properties so those guilty of rape and using these girls and women will undoubtedly be worried about what the FBI know.

Maxwell will with luck be tried but I wouldn’t take anything for granted after watching that programme.

One of the last things Epstein did was to move all his money off shore so that it could not be got at by paying the victims compensation.

Whilst driving today, I heard bit on the radio of an interview with one of Maxwell's friends. I didn't catch the whole interview but I did hear her say that Maxwell will be entering a plea bargain and she will "most definitely not be calling on PA as a witness or involve him in this". She also said that Maxwell is very mindful that, at the time of her father's death, PA was one of the very few people who was supportive and showed friendship towards her and so she would never, ever, speak about him to the press or in court.
The interview is possibly available on catch up if anyone wants to hear the full version, as I say, I only heard a bit of it and was concentrating on finding a parking space.

I can just see Epstein and Maxwell asking all the girls for their birth certificates before letting them on the plane and sending the ones that weren't 18 home!

Whitewavemark2 Sat 04-Jul-20 19:58:41

I suppose that is of interest in as much Maxwell says that she will never call the Windsor as a witness. But not sure it matters as I assume the prosecution could if they wish?

Andrew Windsor condemned himself in the television interview.

Nothing can be taken for granted though as the US government has already squashed the evidence in court back in the 2000’s and agreed to a plea bargain with Epstein. I am convinced there is so much that they will try to suppress.

Trump has had dealings with Epstein in the past.

Whitewavemark2 Sat 04-Jul-20 20:00:42

Most of the activity took place in Florida Palm Springs or Epstein’s island.

I'm not too sure on that WW; but I think that PA would be able to claim diplomatic immunity if he was called upon. I'm only thinking here of the Anne Sacoolas case. It will certainly be interesting to see which way The Trump will flex his presidential muscles: democratic legal rights of a US citizen -v- calling a member of the British RF to give evidence, when he's so desperate to be accepted by the RF. Interesting times....

Whitewavemark2 Sat 04-Jul-20 20:19:51

The weird thing is that if Windsor refuses to give evidence or cooperate, than he is condemning himself in many people’s eyes. There is a suggestion that his lawyers are seeking some sort of “arrangement” which I think highly probable after seeing that programme. Nothing surprises me any longer.

What does surprise me is the apparent resignation of people in accepting this corruption.

Whitewavemark2 Sat 04-Jul-20 20:22:36

Of course I suppose as long as he keeps quiet, he is hoping that there will be no witnesses forthcoming over his activities, but we know that plenty of staff , pilots, air crew, islanders etc knew about it.

Anniebach Sat 04-Jul-20 20:41:16

If a Netflix programme said it, it must be true .

Whitewavemark2 Sat 04-Jul-20 20:42:23

What do you think is the truth annie?

Whitewavemark2 Sat 04-Jul-20 20:44:19

The other thing we know is that there are thousands of photos and videos in the FBI’s hands.

Anniebach Sat 04-Jul-20 20:44:25

I don’t know the truth Whitewave , I know what has been
claimed,

Iam64 Sat 04-Jul-20 20:45:44

It seems so far, that the FBI has been determined to complete an investigation that will withstand attempts by lawyers for Maxwell to get her off the hook. It's shocking that when Epstein was convicted of sexual offences he was allowed to leave his prison for 12 hours a day. He wasn't supervised, and in effect, only returned to the prison to sleep.

The DA who arranged this was later appointed by Trump in a senior role. He had to resign when further investigations highlighted his involvement in the Epstein trial.

Maxwell is accused of serious offences, including procuring, trafficking and sexual assaults on girls and young women.

I hope she will talk and the involvement of the rich and famous in the sexual exploitation of vulnerable girls and young women is publicised.

I'm surprised that some posters seem to minimise the seriousness of this. Just because these girls and young women weren't raped and abused in dirty flats above take aways (I paraphrase) doesn't mean they were any less exploited than the girls in the child sexual exploitation cases here. I remember many posters disputing those girls were victims, suggesting the girls were complicit in their own abuse. that's what some here seem to suggest about the girls exploited and abused by Epstein and no doubt his associates.

Chewbacca Sat 04-Jul-20 20:50:22

He blew "keeping quiet" as a strategy when he did that disastrous interview on tv! As you say WW there must have been a lot of independent witnesses and they won't all be gagged by the machinations of the H of W's legal team. Unless it was made worth their while to keep quiet, of course.
