Oh for a moment there varian I thought they were your words.Sounds very chip on shoulder envious to me, but there you are it’s spin doctor Campbell at it again.
Please help! (grandchild being locked in bedroom)
Is Boris Johnson planning to retire as U.K. prime minister in six months?
That’s the eye-catching claim in the Times, which cited a conversation one of its readers had with the father-in-law of Dominic Cummings, Johnson’s chief adviser.
According to the newspaper’s Diary column, Humphry Wakefield chatted to Times reader Anna Silverman when she visited his castle in northeast England last week. Johnson, Wakefield is reported to have said, is still suffering the after-effects of his coronavirus infection and will never fully recover, and therefore plans to resign early next year.
With the U.K. ever fully recover from the unholy alliance of BoJo and DomCum though?

Do you look at the other forums? There's very little, if any, politicking on them. I'm sure that there are plenty of other sites you could find where you will find like minded people.
Dinahmo if you suggest other sites may be more to someone's liking, you could be accused of telling someone to leave GN.
I once suggested someone might find like minded people on MN and got jumped on hard and soundly. Apparently it is bullying.
I meant it kindly too and the poster in question didn't take offence, but some certainly took offence on her behalf.
We are governed by liars.
Alistair Campbell.
He may be right. It takes one to know one.
I loved the comedy contribution from LauraNorder
Now will someone tell us what Johnson has actually achieved that we can give him credit for.
I mean, something positive for the UK.

That holiday home might have been mine. We were instructed to pitch a tent with a strong light inside so that local gossips could speculate on the identity of the evening occupants, we had to rent babies of various sizes so that dates couldn't be proven if photos were taken and we had to employ various cleaners and instruct them to tell differing stories in the local pub so that all sides could leak the story of their choice.
Thank you MaizieD I thought it was quite witty too.

...but Laura, they enjoy the negativity, it’s meat and drink to them, can we really deny them that pleasure?
Having thought about this...yes! We can.
It’s a long long time for that chance at the ballot box, so meanwhile it’s really a civic duty to show positivity and get on with things.?
What a ridiculous assertion! How dare you or anybody else claim that I enjoy what's happening? I most certainly am not some kind of political masochist and it really is scraping the barrel to suggest that I (and others) are somehow unhinged.
Unfortunately, it was a post which didn't surprise me.

^We are governed by liars^.
Alistair Campbell.

He might very well be right! I can't actually see that he's wrong in anything he's written in that article.
Politicians from all parties quite often get on really well and have respect for each other. Even ex Conservative MP’s have no respect for the people in government at the moment. It isn’t just Alistair Campbell saying it like it is. I just don’t understand how people can look at Johnson and Cummings and be happy that they are responsible for our lives and our livelihood. Johnson is often Fact-checked and found to be lying.
Anyone who doesn’t fall over themselves with joy at the mess that Cummings and Johnson preside over is accused of being a “moaner” or a “hater”. They think that criticism of their idols is a sign of some sort of personality disorder. Comments like anyone who criticises them enjoys negativity are evidence of this. These are the people who made excuses for Cummings’ eye test trip and think Johnson is some sort of messiah leading us into the promised land. They cannot bring themselves to criticise a single thing this government do or have done. They must be well and truly blinkered.
The irony is that they have nothing positive to say, so all they can do is resort to insulting people an sneering. They cannot accept that intelligent people won't let themselves be brainwashed.

Why do so many torykippers on here think that anyone who fails to lick the ar*e of our beloved leader is a labour supporter?
vegansrock Your comment really show you up to be Labour. Why did you even bother to put a * in the word ? Disgusting!!

growstuff Suggest you replace intelligent for indoctrinated !!
Oh the irony.
“ Your comment really show you up to be Labour”. What does that mean exactly ???
Are you saying that using a colourful perhaps vulgar idiom means you’re a Labour voter ?
Janpt. “ Morning prime minister, will you come on Good Morning Britain prime minister? Will you deliver on your promise to speak to Piers and Susanna?" asked Swain.
"Oh for f*cks sake," responds the minder live on television, reported to be the prime minister's press secretary Robert Oxley.
janpt I know some people on here are a bit flakey and can’t handle an old fashioned English word like arse which is why I included an * so as not to offend. Sorry to disappoint, I am not a Labour Party member or supporter.
It’s a shame that the days are long gone when what people voted was between them and the voting booth. I have voted for all three of the main player parties in the past. I have no idea who I will vote for in the future, it will depend on a number of factors at the time of the next election.
Lively discussion is a good thing. It is not a good thing if the discussion descends into petty squabbles.
Going back to the original post, I really have no idea if BJ will resign, but if he does I doubt it will be before the end of the year. After that, we’ll all have to wait and see.
He'll go when Cummings says he can/has to.
Janpt will you please try to behave like a grown up and stop lowering the tone of debate. Suggesting to someone that ‘your comment really shows you up to be Labour’ is unintelligible and suggesting that people holding a different opinion to yourself are unintelligent is simply not acceptable.
Remember how ambitious and cunning is Michael Gove and how chummy he is with Cummings.
Someone suggested today that once Cummings/Johnson have got rid of all the civil servants and any minister that isn’t prepared to snivel, that they will sack the electorate for failing to comply with their wishes.
There is more truth in that then I care to think about.

Furret Sorry, it's the only way to get through to juvenile Labour voters !

This made me laugh?
After the lowering the tone of debate on this thread and acting like a grown up ( not!) that you showed in your deleted comments earlier perhaps Furret.
I don’t think Janpt has much to worry about.?
Prepared to snivel Whitewave ? That word used in the sentence doesn’t make any sense.....who wrote it?
