Can you at least acknowledge they are doing their best?

I wonder how a dedicated feminist can call female posters
‘Embittered old crones’
Who called posters that?
You were on the same thread GagaJo , you must have missed it .
I think Jan Moir DM would consider herself a feminist.
Anyone read her column Friday 28th Aug?
a guide to Meghan speak
If a woman doesnt agree with another women's pov, does that mean she isnt a feminist?

Samantha Cameron was/is a business woman trisher. She supported her husband in the right way without bringing herself into everything.
Doesn't that happen to a lot of people you meet the in-laws a few times and they seem OK then you spend Christmas or the holidays with them and vow never again.
Yes, even in my own case (!!) and it actually took far more strength to ride it out and be polite than it would have to walk out on it! A strong person doesn't take the easy way out and then complain about how awful it was.
Yes I do think that couples should support each other, a partnership isn't a competition to see who is the most successful in making money surely it's about wellbeing, love and support, and whether it's stay at home, working or anything else is entirely up to the people concerned whatever arrangement suits is neither better or worse than any other and not to be mocked at whoever the person is.
“What IS wrong is the way Meghan cunningly made herself part of the RF to do so, and the way she then complained about all aspects of it.”
Wow. Nothing to do with falling in love then. Just cunning plans eh ?
Such insight into the minds of total strangers.
Exactly Lucca. Such vitriol.
Funny how some on here jump in at any negativity towards Meghan, but are noted never to criticise the negativity towards Catherine hmmm
trisher so any woman without a career or business is just a "50s housewife"? How demeaning and dismissive to the women who don't have careers as such, or do you consider those who do early morning cleaning to be career women the same as Meghan? Feminism means respecting every woman's choice, and working towards every woman being able to make her own choices, even 50s style housewives.
Oh and I know a professional woman who has put her career on hold to bring up her and her wife's two children. Such a wimp, such a failure to feminism!!
Such insight into the minds of total strangers.
No insight into her mind Lucca, but in every photo and piece video footage Meghan was latched on to Harry's arm or fingers. To me as an onlooker that hanging onto him showed little decorum, more a sense of desperation. She was out to get him!
I agree janipat, what we fought for was choice. And for all women to be respected whatever choice they made.
Depressing to think that there are other women who will sneer at that choice.
I agree too Illte.
And I would be the first to defend Meghan's choice not to expose Archie to the media. For all we know, she might be a great mother
I too applaud the decision to not expose Archie to too much media. In this respect, Catherine doesn’t have any choice, to allow limited media attention to her children is part of her role because they are in line to the throne. Archie is too, but unlikely to ever be called upon to be king.
It looks like Meghan is taking her mouthpiece, Omid Scobie, with her as he has announced he will be, 'Shooting a little something for Netflix.'
Himself in the foot??
Surely ‘falling in love’ and marriage means a partnership, Meg
knew what to expect when she married, she said she had been
warned ! about the British press, she lived before she married
at KP, she unlike others who have married into the royal
fsmily spent holidays with them, Harry spoke of her finding a
family.
Once married KP wasn’t right for her, they moved to Windsor,
wasn’t right for her, off to Canada, shortly after off to America,
all this in 3 years .
So it's OK to criticise Meghan for being scheming and dominating Harry but not OK to criticise Kate for being a 1950s wife? Isn't that double standards? I have no problem with anyone staying home to mind the kids, but surely even women who do that have their own interests and pursuits. A bit ago she seemed to be getting into photography again, but that seems to have faded. Some people who married into the RF seemed to maintain their own interests, she hasn't.
I don’t think we know what interests Catherine has anymore than we know what interests Sophie has or Camilla. We do know Charles likes gardening and painting and Anne loves anything to do with horses, as does Zara. We really don’t know about the hobbies of most of the royal family.
What about the way MM is keeping her son from having any connection to his wider family?
He will never know his materanl grandfather nor possibly ANY of his father's family.
All that potential love missed out on.
For what reason?
She is not a feminist she is far nore 1950's than Kate who showes love to all her family, both sides and is showing more and more of her own passion for photography.
Living off of men is not feminism.
Also the photos of her before meeting Harry speak volumes of how she used her sexuality for attention.
Would they be the double standards you have so abundantly displayed trisha? I haven't criticised Meghan for scheming and domination, but still you bite with your but surely even women who do that have their own interests and pursuits. Just can't stop othering women who don't fit your narrative. (My bold on "even", not trisha's) I thought Catherine did pursue her photographic interest? Aren't the birthday etc photos released usually copyrighted to her?
Some people who married into the RF seemed to maintain their own interests, she hasn't .......... trisher you'll surely be criticised soon by Lucca and GagaJo for your personal knowledge and insight into Catherine's private life away from the cameras.
Well I've heard Kate speak eloquently about her interest in gardening, cookery, painting etc. or these interests of insignificant housewives?
This is the photograph competition Kate is involved with at the moment. I have seen her interviewed several times about it.
www.npg.org.uk/hold-still/
Kate releases her own photos of her children on birthdays and anniversaries.
Kate is performing public engagements with and without William, she has spoken about and shown the garden she helped with, she does a great deal for mental health charities. She does not write on bananas though
And from what I have seen, she is not a hypocrite who preaches one thing and then does another. In fact, she doesn't preach at all.
It's not OK to speak sneeringly of any woman's life choice, trisher.
