Allegedly the privacy obsessed pair confused have agreed to a "fly on the wall" documentary!!! They frequently appear to live a life that contradicts most of what they say they care about.

Is this a documentary about their house moves and interior decorating? Another Escape to/from the château? They certainly should be experts after their renovation projects and decorating at Frogmore House!! grin

Balmoral and Sandringham should be open to the public. It's all very well saying they are owned by the Queen but she's hardly ever in them.

Sandringham is open for a large part of the year, there are loads of free walks and trails there all year round, it's usually packed! The tiny Church is open too, well worth a look, maybe not over the CHristmas period when the House is in use.
I also believe that parts of the Balmoral estate are freely open, maybe not the house.

Anniebach I don't know. Something needs to change but it would need a lot of discussion.

trisher Mon 28-Sept-20 15:14:51

If you want corrupt RF there are the Kents- Prince Michael actually reprimanded for using his title for business ends- very closely linked with Russian oligarchs and some dodgy deals.
Meanwhile Charles is using the Duchy of Cornwall to extend Newquay and provide more housing (that's if you can afford £250000 for a 2 bed house). Laying down the rules of what you can and can't do.(Basically No chavs).
Can't believe that in the 21st century an such an outdated institution still survives, attracts such devotion, and makes so much money.

Anniebach Mon 28-Sept-20 15:21:18

Still obsessed with ‘devotion’ trisher , pity you can’t take part in a discussion without mocking

JenniferEccles Mon 28-Sept-20 15:33:08

£250,000 for a 2 bedroom house in Cornwall is quite a reasonable price.

annep1 Mon 28-Sept-20 15:41:02

Regardless of words used (dwvotion) Anniebach what are your views on the points that trisher is making?

Callistemon Mon 28-Sept-20 15:41:18

Yes, it is, young locals have been priced out of the county by 2nd homers.
^ Laying down the rules of what you can and can't do^
Presumably not allowing them to be sold to rich yuppies for second homes.

£250,000 would be a bargain, particularly if there is a help-to-but scheme.

Callistemon Mon 28-Sept-20 15:41:48

Typos, sorry!

annep1 Mon 28-Sept-20 15:42:31

It sounds wonderful, attractive, well-planned with a school, shops etc. Just what the County needs and I hope this is copied nationwide.

The key, the Duke of Cornwall believes, is to create mixed-use and mixed-income neighbourhoods with integrated affordable housing all within walking distance of shops, leisure and community facilities and green spaces.

annep1 Mon 28-Sept-20 16:27:57

Seriously. Look at the rules. Lol.

You can't buy the land your house sits on, its feudal, in the Duchy Also roads owned by Duchy are not maintained it's all take nothing put back.

Anniebach

Like watching paint dry, she will gaze at him ,he will gaze at her, they will say how they will save the world, he will make
speeches and she will be ready to jump in should he hesitate.

They may sing ‘All You Need Is Love’ and private jets

Anniebach - love it! grin grin grin

grannypiper Mon 28-Sept-20 17:13:40

annepl Read the lists of do's and don'ts and i have to say if i lived in Cornwall i would be more than happy to purchase one of the homes.

Anniebach Mon 28-Sept-20 17:17:26

annelp sorry I cannot disregard trisher’s mocking, she called posters on a M & H thread - ‘embittered old crones’ ,

No point in a discussion with anyone who considers age of posters to matter .

MerylStreep Mon 28-Sept-20 17:30:25

I read the rules. The only thing I'm surprised at is the ban on solar panels. And him an environmentalist ?

Oopsminty Mon 28-Sept-20 17:32:10

I rather like the sound of those houses.

annep1 Mon 28-Sept-20 17:38:40

Point taken Anniebavh. But sometimes I would like to hear your views.

Grannypiper lots of folk may welk be happy ti purchase. There is a housung shortage atm. However the restrictions are utterly ridiculous. And its supposed ti be a mixed income area but many of the restrictions would exclude cheaper products like pvc fascias etc not allowed. Door fittings must be solid brass. Sorry, there are so many it is actually funny.

trisher Mon 28-Sept-20 17:45:34

I've always ignored Annie's attempts to take a thread back to something said some time ago. But as far as "embittered old crones" goes . I am and would freely acknowledge I am an 'old crone' so there is nothing ageist about it. As for embittered if the cap fits.... I can be critical but would allow anyone some freedom and leeway, which many seem unwilling to allow H&M.
As for the houses PC is selling I wouldn't dare I'd be sure to miss one or more of the rules and be run-in for a plastic something or my washing showing!!!!

eazybee Mon 28-Sept-20 17:59:31

I don't think Anniebach is embittered;

neither is she 'an old crone.'

annep1 Mon 28-Sept-20 18:02:14

I haven't read the comment that Anniebach is talking about trisher but I do feel that it would be better to address the actual comment being made.
Leaving aside my views on the monarchy, as far as H&M are concerned I don't understand why they are criticised so much more than any other member of the RF. And I see nothing wrong in H giving his views or advice.
As for the housing..The list of rules is absolutely ludicrous imho. I don't think any other developers would dare.

annep1 Mon 28-Sept-20 18:03:31

Please excuse my typing errors. In bed atm.

trisher Mon 28-Sept-20 18:09:54

My comment refered to the general theme of the posts and didn't name anyone, as I said - if the cap fits... I really cannot see any reason why people hate someone they don't know so much. H&M haven't caused anyone any harm or actually done anything which hurt anyone else. It really isn't to do with them but with posters own perceptions and prejudices. No matter what they do they will never satisfy that.

Anniebach Mon 28-Sept-20 18:16:46

Hate, adoration, worship , keep it up trisher
