I watched Johnson being interviewed by Marr, and was in high hopes that he would manage 15 minutes without lying.

Well he so nearly managed it until the last minute. Then out it popped.

Poor old Johnson, what a cross to bear, never managing to open your mouth or putting pen to paper without lying.

Well it is welcome to see the government finally appearing to understand where Trumps behaviour gets a country.

But never forget that even though they were warned and warned over his rhetoric, and immorality, they were willing to cultivate him for gain.

Justice should serve the people and not protect the government.

Listening to Biden talking about how Trump tried to influence the judiciary because he knew that some of his actions would have been condemned by the courts.

Remind me what did Johnson threaten after the judiciary ruled his actions illegal?

Lemongrove who made you Head Prefect ?

We look across the pond, especially in the last twenty four hours and wonder how on earth the USA ever ended up electing Trump, then he have to look at ourselves and wonder how we could ever have been conned into voting for this self-destructive brexit nonsense, this utterly incompetent and corrupt Vote Leave government and wonder just how much better we are than our American cousins.

Oh for goodness sake!

To be fair you could say that in response to Opals statement. I certainly did.

It was said to all of you.
Sounded like children squabbling.

Dear Dominic
Have to confess,I thought Trump was quite the joker.Liked the cut of his jib and he certainly put the wind up the sails of the global elite. No bad thing. I'm distancing myself now though, of course. You should too. Am I in the global elite?

Johnson’s and government links to Trump and Bannon

The links between an opaque think tank, the Conservative Government and major figures in the Trump campaign can be revealed in this first part of a special Byline Times investigation

No "parallel universe here" smilesmilesmile. And no, left wing socialists aren't scary at all, just irritatingly delusional. I see the pack still hunts together ...........

So what is 'delusional' about left wing socialists?

Let's have chapter and verse. You clearly find them disturbing in some way.

Or you could try googling Tory supporting political commentators in the BBC

Any appointment that curbs the BBC's obvious left-wing socialist leaning tendencies is a good one.

That’s an interesting point of view Opal, genuine question, do you have some examples of this ?

Google "BBC left wing bias" and take your pick of the numerous independent reports ....

or failing that, tune in to the BBC news ......

Lucca Wed 06-Jan-21 18:43:02

The pack being people who have similar opinions ? Like Tory supporters.

It is the same mindset as the Republicans and far right in this country.

She surely cannot be taiking about the slavishly Tory supporting Brexit Broadcasting Corporation!

No, she isn't because she's in the parallel universe grin

What I want to know is, what is so very scary about left-wing socialists?

Do they eat babies?
Kick cats and dogs?
Leave poor children to starve during holidays in the midst of a pandemic?

Cronyism

The fact that Richard Sharp was once Rishi Sunak’s boss at Goldman Sachs and has made donations to the Conservative Party has nothing at all to do with with his appointment as new Chair of the BBC. Nothing, I say, nothing at all........
