Last night after feeling unwell.

Fingers crossed for him.

He's an old man. His family must be worried irrespective of who they are. Families care.

RulaNula Fri 19-Feb-21 16:53:16

MM hardly raises a mention. She's not particularly relevant. May her life in the land of the mega celebs be just as she hopes. As for Philip he is a great age. But I do hope that he manages to leave hospital with a wave and a smile. I rather like the old fellow.

Paddyanne. you hold so much hatred and I find your post racist

Whereas so many posts re MM ......

Anniebach Fri 19-Feb-21 16:57:49

Yes Aveline his family must be concerned .

RulaNula I hope he recovers from this health problem too.

nadateturbe Fri 19-Feb-21 16:58:44

I hope he's ok too. How could you wish otherwise?

GrannyGravy13 Fri 19-Feb-21 17:02:38

paddyanne the last line of your post is racist.

I just don’t care- he’s nothing to me. He’s 99 and receiving care that we could only dream of especially at the current time.

Aveline Fri 19-Feb-21 17:04:05

Nice

suziewoozie Fri 19-Feb-21 17:12:24

Aveline

Nice

But true - I’m not a hypocrite. He’s nothing to me. Nothing at all. He’s old, he’s had health problems for years, he’s not immortal, he will die sooner or later.

Are these 'royal' threads secretly sponsored by Gaviscon?

Urmstongran Fri 19-Feb-21 17:17:07

Okay, so now that the transition for H&M is over I think it's time to stop the publicity for Mr and Mrs Windsor-Mountbatten. They left to become private citizens and the last time I checked, private citizens generally don't get media coverage.

I wish them the very best for their new lives and I hope it all turns out as they hoped. But please, no more media stories about these officially private citizens. But enough now.

Oh wait, there’s Oprah. ... darn it.

Anniebach Fri 19-Feb-21 17:20:03

There will be more after Oprah and more ‘we are so in love photographs’ , it’s what some celebrities do , the reality tv type

suziewoozie Fri 19-Feb-21 17:23:00

Private citizens don’t get media coverage - what are you talking about. And anyway, in your dreams.?

BlueBelle Fri 19-Feb-21 17:25:47

I thought this was about Dukie why does someone always have to spike it with poor old Meghan and Harry ITS NOT ABOUT THEM

Casdon Fri 19-Feb-21 17:25:52

I like your comment NellG, just about sums up this thread.

Urmstongran Fri 19-Feb-21 17:29:20

Oh you know what I meant sw. Mr & Mrs instead of Duke & Duchess. Celebs status would be a flash in the pan then!

Remove their titles, see how quickly their new friends and business deals vanish.

Anniebach Fri 19-Feb-21 17:30:47

Surely the thought of a connection between the Duke being admitted to hospital at the same time as his grandson makes his announcement can be expected?

Rosalyn69 Fri 19-Feb-21 17:32:52

I don’t see why we are talking about M and H. Totally irrelevant.
I hope the Duke gets to go home. The Queen must miss him.

Ellianne Fri 19-Feb-21 17:36:36

I think we are talking about it here because the OP actually asked a question on page 2 to widen her comments posted 2 days ago. Isn't that how discussions evolve? A new dimension just happened to pop up.

Puzzler61 Fri 19-Feb-21 17:41:33

I’m disappointed to see how dismissive you are of the Duke soozie when you started a thread today to say how lovely is it that some of your neighbours were taking an elderly resident for a walk, who is in his 90’s.
Could you not be more hospitable towards all nonogenarians?

suziewoozie Fri 19-Feb-21 17:48:58

I care about my neighbour . I know him. The Duke is being extremely well looked after that’s all that matters - how much longer he lives is a matter of complete indifference to me. I do care about all our older people who are not being looked after properly and all those in care homes who have spent the last year with very limited contact with family. He’s had the queen all this time and hadn’t had to worry about getting a priority slot with WR or who can pick up his prescriptions.

Ellianne Fri 19-Feb-21 17:53:18

and hadn’t had to worry about getting a priority slot with WR
Do you mean Waitrose? Fortnums or Harrods surely!

Anniebach Fri 19-Feb-21 17:55:37

Does wealth take away compassion,

nadateturbe Fri 19-Feb-21 17:57:01

Suziewoozie he's nothing to me. I'm not speaking about him as a member of the RF. I just wish any person who is ill a good recovery. That's all I meant. I don't think it would say much about me if I wished anyone ill.

GrannyGravy13 Fri 19-Feb-21 18:03:38

None of us have a choice as to the family we are born into.

No doubt if those who are anti royal had been born into the royal family they would have a totally different point of view?

Are the posters with republican leanings against anyone born into a moneyed family or those who inherit from relatives?
