Well, you'd deserve it after making such a nasty, unnecessary and spiteful remark; there was just no need at all for that, it was well beneath you*MaisieD*. If you can't take it: don't dish it out.

But if someone suddenly starts commenting after months of complete silence on a specific topic (i.e government wrongdoing) it's a bit of a surprise

Is this a new GN guideline MaizieD or one you have just made up?
I wasn’t aware of it but if I have not joined in on some threads recently it might be because they are too often a case of the “same old, same old “ aka the same people banging on about the same things.
Which reminds me- aren’t we due a new Brexit thread soon?

OMG MaisieD what on earth is the matter with you? You have absolutely zero rights to be questioning how, why or when anyone adds to any thread. You have zero rights to question why, until now, they may not have posted on a thread; whether it surprises you or not.

Yes, but how does GN decide? Surely it has some criterion in which case we could be informed or is it just arbitrary?

Personally, I think things drop off active because when threads get long they get quite overwhelming and I often forget what I've posted and whether it was on this thread or another. It may obviously just be me

There’s another thread on timings on active which aren’t in time order.

Wasn’t aware there was a specific time limit on posting on political threads MaizieD , some folks have other things going on in their lives.

People have been angry on this forum about the government's little peccadillos for months. You've popped in over the past few days and apparently joined the rather cross brigade. Which is welcome. But late...

Dropping off the active list isn't being censored, it's just indifference or exhaustion.

Dominic Cummings and Matt Hancock should both have been sacked, not allowed to resign. Such arrogance and flagrant abuse of the rules. They have effectively stuck two fingers up at the British people abiding by the restrictions of lockdown. Disgusted by them both. Boris has met three wives through work, whilst married to someone else, so that’s his moral compass. I voted him in, I would now vote him out, he’s not up to the job, he can write his memoirs and live of those.

Yes there was a thread about this which resulted in some odd comments along the lines of well Labour would have been worse, all politicians lie anyway, and…..the vaccine roll out !
