Thank you Kalil for pointing out that Frost and Johnson negotiated the deal, signed for it , so what are they playing at ?
If it isnt fit for purpose why did they sign it ?
I think it is Johnson trying to use it as a cover, so he can wriggle out of investigations into his corrupt deals .

Not a single GN member here has come up with anything good that could come out of a full on Trade War with the EU. Not a single advantage, Not a single product that the 27 could not just supply to each other simply and without tarifs or checks, to each other.

With a short period of adjustment- they can just continue as always- selling, buying, sharing, cooperating - with each other, with the support of the USA- and just forget the UK exists.

I'm not sure which would be worse...

People thinking that triggering Article 16 would be a good thing to show them Frenchies just what we think of them and their bullying ways...

Twice in the last 24 hours you have posted your opinion about things. In both cases they are not opinions, they are misrepresentations of the facts. (How international collaboration happens in science and how the NI protocol works) So anybody who does that, and bases their decisions about the big things on erroneous interpretation of the way things work, isn't necessarily dim.

But they might be... mistaken? Misled? Naïve? Culpable?

I know I’m less intellectual than some on here. I garner views from 4 main sites - the Telegraph, the Guardian, the Daily Mail and SKY news. I try to evaluate what I’m being told. If I’m wrong on some points I apologise.

I’m certain most people (the majority I’d bet) don’t even think much about it and are enjoying getting on with their lives and families.
