The Duchess of Kent chose a private life because of ill health so
chose to be called Katharine Kent. They have clung to and used
their titles to make money, a title given to them because they were part of a family who they constantly criticise.

She could have had her book published as Megan Sussex but not she .

I think Meghan is intelligent, beautiful, determined and could be an asset to whatever cause she aligns herself to.
Unfortunately, she is also calculating, egotistical, hypocritical and cruel in her drive to the top (as she sees it). And the only cause she truly believes in, is herself.

Harry has spent his life feeling he is second best.
So he doesnt find it odd to play a supporting role in his marriage, rather than be the main focus of attention ( as his father thought he should be when he was eclipsed by D).
So it's easy to see why Harry would be at ease with this scenario.

They feel they have a shot at being top dog in the US.
Fair enough.

What is very difficult to swallow is the method they use to get there.

I've said many times they have their eyes on the Presidency.
Everything they do is sacrificed to this aim.

My feelings about them have nothing to do with 'protecting' the image of the RF. Or discrediting them on the basis of whatever reasons.
My oponions are based on observations of their behaviour.

I'm estranged from my Father who lives in South East Asia. If my in laws suggested I get on a plane to smooth things over with him to save their face, I would be as impressed as Meghan is to be quite honest.

How would Megan visiting her father save her laws face ?

Or maybe her in laws, seeing how stressed and down she was becoming, suggested she visit her father to have a heart to heart for her own benefit? We don't know.
What I do know, is that you Jane don't appear regularly on my TV or newsfeeds criticising your father's parenting, complaining he doesn't give you money now as an adult to support your lifestyle or that your inlaws' family is actually the one you never had. Even though that new found family was dumped pretty swiftly anyway.

The only thing we know is Megan said she wrote her
‘Dear Daddy’ letter to stop the family berating Harry, can we

Well, I'm not sure that she officially is? She's certainly never referred to as this, but you could be right. I read, some time ago, admittedly that she was Camilla Cornwall, but it could have been incorrect.

Jabberwok it was decided Camilla would not use the title
Princess of Wales but Duchess of Cornwall.

Suppose it would have caused Diana fans to go on the attack ,
it was said when Charles is king Camilla will not take the correct title Queen Consort but Princess Consort, I hope this will not be so.
