SIR Tony Blair ?

His Premiership saw our university system wrecked, his devolution is now threatening our United Kingdom, his secret mass immigration plans have brought divisions to our society, his wars were illegal and the infiltration of his left-wing supporters throughout our public bodies has triggered the woke insurrection that is ripping our history and culture to shreds. History will judge Blair to have caused untold damage to our country - he should not have been honoured - in my opinion.

How do you feel about it?

Why now, after 14 years. Why?

Exactly!
To keep him quiet??

Anniebach Tue 04-Jan-22 20:41:47

Why does the Queen need to keep Blair quiet ?

Galaxy Tue 04-Jan-22 20:47:56

It's part of the script. Its not original thinking.

Galaxy Tue 04-Jan-22 20:48:59

Sorry that was in reference to questions about granys chuntering about Starmer.

Just me thinking aloud Annie as he tends to pop up annoyingly and pontificates in public on different subjects....as does the equally annoying John Major.

I’ve not heard Blair, Brown or Major say anything that doesn’t make common sense over the past twenty months so I’d quite like examples of what it is they have said that wasn’t either sensible or relevant. Unlike the PM and most of his party.

Absolutely agree. Without being able to recall specifics I do remember reading things said by Major and Blair and thinking they were spot on.

The numbers on the petition keep rising. Good job Bliar is thick skinned.

My only consolation is that, if this is an official govt. petition, the government won't take a blind bit of notice of it.

Anniebach Wed 05-Jan-22 11:49:50

It has nothing to do with the government

I heard Gordon Brown on the radio early last year. Not having heard much from him for a long time I made a point of listening to what he had to say and was so impressed by him. Putting so much effort as well into getting poorer countries vaccinated.

In today's Daily Mail (yes, I know) there is a damning article on Blair issuing an order that paperwork, showing the Iraqi war to be illegal, be burnt. I think the parents of servicemen and women who lost their lives in these conflicts are petitioning the Queen directly.

Anniebach Wed 05-Jan-22 15:59:05

Why order the paperwork be burned , there were copies

Daily Mail !

Iam64 Wed 05-Jan-22 16:12:05

The DM is enthusiastically hyping the opposition to Sir Tony. As Annie says, there were copies -

The petition is aimed at the government if it's an official 'parliament' one.

Must confess I haven't checked.

vegansrock Wed 05-Jan-22 18:12:37

Why did Ian Dunkin Donuts get a knighthood? Him of the plunging thousands of disabled people into poverty.

Iam64 Wed 05-Jan-22 18:26:03

Vegansrock - a quiet thankyou from me. I lol’d at reading Sir Ian described in that way. Still laughing. I always thought he wasn’t very bright, I didn’t lol at his assaults on benefits but hey how, dunkin donuts ?????

MayBee70 Wed 05-Jan-22 20:07:27

He’s totally forgotten that he’s a failed party leader, hasn’t he. In fact he was so ineffectual that everyone has forgotten he’s a failed party leader….

Dinahmo Thu 06-Jan-22 10:57:38

A point brought up on a young black man on James O'Brien this morning - the same people who are angry about Blair's knighthood are also angry about the removal of the Edward Colston statue. Blair took the country to war but Colston's activities resulted in tens of thousands of people being killed.

25Avalon Fri 07-Jan-22 21:37:26

A million people have now signed the petition. Wow!

A million people have now signed the petition. Wow!

Yes great ! I’d signed it yesterday, hope it will be of good use , Blair doesn’t deserve a Knighthood after what he did , despicable man that he is .

Poppyred Sun 16-Jan-22 06:40:17

What’s the point of the petition, with over a million signatures if absolutely nothing is done about it??!! ???

Poppyred Sun 16-Jan-22 07:54:38

Does anyone know?
