As if there isn't enough evidence that Johnson is unfit for office

Now we read reports that senior civil servants and ministers were having to insist that Johnson works from the office and not from home due to red boxes, many of them full of highly sensitive information, laying about in the Downing Street flat, open for all to see including Carrie's pals and friends who were frequent visitors. It has been described as a 'Frat house atmosphere', with people in and out.

Perhaps Blackford should enlighten himself as to the rules of the house. Johnson did not call Starmer a liar. No I am not in the Johnson fan club. The Speaker explains.

Boris knowingly lied about Starmer. He isn’t going to get away with it, it was disgraceful behaviour, straight out of the playground.

Blackford called a spade a spade. He knows full well what the rules of the house are, and he broke them deliberately to make his point.

Thanks for pointing that out.

I think Blackford could run rings around people with what he knows about the rules of the House. He broke the rules on purpose. He wanted to be asked to leave. Because now we're all taking about it.

Johnson knows the rules as well. He knows that people can tell lies about each other in the house, but you can never say to them that they are telling lies.

Welcome to democracy in 21st Century Britain.

Sorry, cross post.

Alegrias1 And Blackford, knowing the rules, walked out before he was escorted, knowing that he could return and not be barred

More lies

Johnson and Patel have been referred to the UK Statistics Authority for lying about the crime statistics in the House on Monday. Instead of a 14% drop the ONS reports there was a 14% increase.

I bet Liz Truss has her finger in this pie - guaranteed.

Cummings is now talking about illegal donations to Johnson and cabinet.

Wonder if this will be the next lot of leaks?

It is hard to work out just what it what it will take to make people wake up to the blatant corruption. We have the son of a KGB agent sitting in the House of Lords in a seat that he bought.

The threat of letters has made Johnson withdraw his comment re Saville. Of course he doesn’t mean it what an idiot

NEW: Johnson backs down on his Starmer Savile comments:

"I'm talking not about the leader of the opposition's personal record when he was when he was DPP and I totally understand that he had nothing to do personally with those decisions."

PM's policy chief, Munira Mirza has resigned over Johnson's attempts to smear Starmer. She had worked with Johnson when he was Mayor of London.

Wow! She'll be a big loss to Johnson. I don't suppose she took that decision lightly. I think her husband still works at No 10 too.

Whitewavemark2 Thu 03-Feb-22 17:00:23

Did you read her letter!

Apparently she and her husband were very close to Johnson.

He has become impossible even to his close colleagues.

GillT57 Thu 03-Feb-22 17:20:05

Someone in the Johnson team who has a moral compass.

Grannynannywanny Thu 03-Feb-22 17:21:36

She didn’t mince her words in her resignation letter

We shall see

vegansrock Thu 03-Feb-22 17:46:44

I might have to buy one of these.

Casdon Thu 03-Feb-22 17:55:13

How ironic if the final straw is a schoolboy slur which is proven to be untrue about the leader of the opposition, it’s just such typical pathetic behaviour. Rishi Sunak has said he wouldn’t have said what Johnson did now - the vultures are circling. It won’t have done Starmer any harm, in fact it’s backfired so badly it’s done him good I think.

^ "I totally understand that he had nothing to do personally with those decisions.^

"I was making a point about his responsibility for the organisation as a whole."

That doesn't sound like much of a retraction to me. He's still making an implication, isn't he? Did he forget to mention the inquiry Starmer ordered into how/why the case was dropped and his apology for it happening under his watch?

Casdon Thu 03-Feb-22 18:05:41

That’s what Mirza meant in her letter I assume Whitewavemark2. He’s gone too far.

varian Thu 03-Feb-22 18:09:28

Long before we had ever heard of the internet there was a saying "Lies can get right round the world before the truth has got its pants on"

So now we have the internet, and if we're not careful, lies will win.

Whitewavemark2 Thu 03-Feb-22 18:13:40

I reckon the threat of resignation from Mirza prompted Johnson effort of an apology.

Dinahmo Thu 03-Feb-22 18:21:52

Johnson was attacking Starmer for not keeping the CPS in order - with 8000 staff when he cannot keep his own house order, with about 400 staff.
