Worth reading before making assumptions etc about the report.

It's a disgrace. What a shower.

Riverwalk Mon 31-Jan-22 16:11:16

Tories are surprisingly robust in their comments!

Is Fabricant drunk or does he always speak that way?

He's as he usually is - no change.

BigBertha1 Mon 31-Jan-22 16:14:01

I've read the highlights and its just as I thought Boris was presiding over a gin palace at public expense. Not fit for office in my view.

Alegrias1 Mon 31-Jan-22 16:18:01

I'm hoping for a "You can't handle the truth" moment.

Johnson mentioned the Jimmy Saville case this afternoon. I’m writing to the speaker asking him to tell Johnson to publicly withdraw that comment.

? I’ll do the same

And that odious man Reece Mogg laughed and jeered across at Keir Starmer when Johnson said it.

Riverwalk Mon 31-Jan-22 16:32:30

90% of Tory MPs who've spoken have been hostile.

Whitewavemark2 Mon 31-Jan-22 16:33:24

Johnson was “strongly advised” not to use the Jimmy Saville quip by some advisors inside No10. “He doesn’t listen to advice,” one insider says.

Casdon Mon 31-Jan-22 16:34:13

A slight aside - I do think Sue Gray should be congratulated for upholding the standards, even if nobody in the government can be. She does seem to have acted with (to quote the Marsh family) integrity and honesty.

Alegrias1 Mon 31-Jan-22 16:34:49

What Sue Gray wants us to do...

You couldn't make it up.

Alegrias1 Mon 31-Jan-22 16:35:10

Agreed Casdon

One thing BJ can't do is bring back those who died in 2020/21 !

Petera Mon 31-Jan-22 16:41:16

Rob Roberts: Let me back in, please let me back in

Luckygirl3 Mon 31-Jan-22 16:41:19

It is unwatchable. The total absence of integrity makes me feel quite sick.

I have just written to my MP - a Tory, but one who I believe does have some integrity - to say that BJ needs to go and he needs to get behind this.

I have never voted for this man.

It was just disgusting- and I hope Keir Starmer will make official complaint- and sue!

Yes, will do the same. What Ian Blackford said was true, and he was sent out.

CoolCoco Mon 31-Jan-22 16:46:53

Bring back Theresa May ! She's starting to look good against Johnson.

CoolCoco Mon 31-Jan-22 16:47:48

Why does the PM always look like a child who can't dress themselves properly?

EllanVannin Mon 31-Jan-22 16:51:20

The Met police aren't going to do anything grin

Devorgilla Mon 31-Jan-22 16:51:44

Great, statesman-like speech from Keir Starmer. Very low below the belt comment in reply from Boris re Jimmy Saville. Ian Blackford also acted with integrity and decency. Well done too, to Theresa May. I am appalled at what I am seeing on the Government benches in my Parliament today. I'm just wondering what the Tories supporting him are getting out of it.

Visgir1 Mon 31-Jan-22 16:53:43

BJ is meeting the Back Benchers at 6.30....Will that be the End?

I have written to Sir Lindsay too. Please, please do the same if you believe that the comment about Jimmy Saville broke all the rules and was slander.

I hadn't seen or heard the comment, so went searching for it. My first thought was that it was actionable.
