Worth reading before making assumptions etc about the report.

Well done Mrs May- integrity, dignity, and true.

Oldnproud Mon 31-Jan-22 16:58:01

Boris re-directed the drugs question to Starmer. What was that all about? I'm clearly not the only person who doesnt know, because many incredulous cries of "What?" could be heard in the House.

It’s been viewed 4.3k times since it was uploaded to YouTube 35 mins ago. Look at the odious Rees Mogg’s reaction to the jibe.

The question we keep asking ourselves is how low can they go?

Dinahmo Mon 31-Jan-22 17:12:18

To those, who in other threads, have suggested that it 's OK to have alcohol in the workplace - Sue Gray that it is not at all acceptable.

Some of you might have a small complement of workers in a private company - probably not a problem. Number 10 is not a private company.

Please, if anyone here feel strongly that the Jimmy Saville comment was so wrong and slander, please write to The Speaker, Sir Lindsay.

GillT57 Mon 31-Jan-22 17:31:32

Starmer spoke with dignity and passion this afternoon and the silence as he spoke was noticeable. I too shall write to the Speaker regarding the Savile comments, and what was all that about drugs and the Labour front bench. Andrew Mitchell showed himself to be a decent man again. My.gut instincts are that Johnson has lost his back benches, but then again I may be wrong. Johnson, without doubt has brought his office, party, the government and now the country into disrepute. What a lying mealy mouthed nasty bit of work he is.

Zennomore Mon 31-Jan-22 17:32:16

I was employed by my Local Authority for 35 years. I never once drank alcohol at work nor did my colleagues. I’m having G&T now though, after watching that shit show I deserve it ?

"Everyone knows Boris Johnson broke the rules and lied to the country. It’s time Conservative MPs did their patriotic duty, listened to their constituents and stood up for decency by sacking Boris Johnson. He must go before he does our country any more harm."

Ed Dqavey , leader of the Liberal Democrats

Well done Ian Blackford.

I agree

Alegrias1 Mon 31-Jan-22 17:41:45

I didn't think Blackford's speech was very special, but by God I was proud of him at the end.

Me too.

Nothing to do with the party he represents (although I am part scottish on my late dad's side).

In fact, I had to ask myself how I could justify feeling 'proud' of him, given that I don't even know him, but I did ...

He represented everything positive that Johnson so sadly lacks!

Farzanah Mon 31-Jan-22 18:10:09

So this is what our country has sunk to. A shameful performance from a Prime Minister who hasn’t the decency to resign, and worse still those, very few it seems, who still support him.
Well done Ian Blackford, and I’m not a fan of Starmer, but he was brilliant.

Coastpath Mon 31-Jan-22 18:11:46

I think he should be made to justify or withdraw the comment about drugs on the Labour front bench too. I've neither heard or read any hint of a suggestion that this is true.

Thank you.

Not a problem. My letter's in with a copy to my local MP. I'll let you all know the reply.

varian Mon 31-Jan-22 18:24:09

Keir Starmer, Ed Davey and Ian Blackford were all brilliant.

Speaking the truth for all to see.

Calling a spade a spade and in continuing Angela Rayner’s vein. Well done to Starmer, May and the Tory MP who said Boris no longer had his confidence.

????????

Oldnproud Mon 31-Jan-22 18:30:48

It does make you think, doesn't it - what would it actually take before the average Tory MP would say enough is enough and Johndon should go?

MayBee70 Mon 31-Jan-22 18:46:36

Aaron Bell again spoke out against the PM as he did over theOwen Paterson affair. As a new MP it can’t be easy for him to do this and I totally respect him for it. Sir Roger Gale is scathing of Johnson. I don’t know what Peter Bottomley thinks but I can imagine. And I know she is no longer an MP but I certainly know what Anna Soubry thinks about Johnson: ditto Dominic Grieve. Breaking news Goves parliamentary secretary (?) has just resigned….it’s all happening

Huge thank you for that. I’ve emailed Hoyle and said I expect a reply and want an explanation as to why he’s prepared to make Ian Blackford leave the house for telling the truth and yet allows Johnson to say blatant lies against Keir Starmer. And I’ve asked him to read that link.
