Worth reading before making assumptions etc about the report.

Whitewavemark2 Mon 31-Jan-22 15:13:27

Gray has made it clear that she wants her full report published, but at present she has made it clear that she has locked it in a safe away from Johnson!.

Blimey

Don’t remember Sky News showing the PM’s car during to the house before. Reminded me of the OJ Simpson car chase! Looking forward to seeing him in parliament in a few minutes…..

Which is why he will get voted in again I expect MayBee. He is very popular with many voters which annoys the hell out of his distractors.

Whitewavemark2 Mon 31-Jan-22 15:20:08

Paragraph 13 of Gray’s update.

Urmstongran Mon 31-Jan-22 15:20:47

Yes, it’s been shown before MayBee. I can imagine Boris walking into the chamber in 10 minutes to absolute uproar.

Sue Gray has not minced her words. In Civil Service speak it’s damning. Well done to her for not being silenced.

How any Conservative MP can still support this government is unbelievable (but true).

*detractors

I think she has done a very good job under difficult circumstances; clear and with an excellent focus on accountability.
I would ask those who think it exonerates Johnson to put their hands on their hearts and say they would make the same judgement if the report had concerned Jeremy Corbyn in No.10.

Whitewavemark2 Mon 31-Jan-22 15:22:14

Paragraph 2+3

Whitewavemark2 Mon 31-Jan-22 15:23:19

Johnson should not survive given paras 2+3

Feelingmyage55 Mon 31-Jan-22 15:23:24

I’m going to tune in at 3.30. I openly admit that I have already made up my mind and it doesn’t sound as if I will change it.

Whitewavemark2 Mon 31-Jan-22 15:26:10

Gray represents the traditional values in the civil service and government.

It is what I cut my working life teeth on. Duty was everything.

It is a disaster.

Alegrias1 Mon 31-Jan-22 15:37:08

I didn't think it was possible but I'm even more disgusted with him than I was before. Effing freeports and vaccines angry

Alegrias1 Mon 31-Jan-22 15:46:11

Jimmy Saville now. He's shameful.

Mamie Mon 31-Jan-22 15:46:49

I think that was a very fine speech from Keir Starmer. The silence from Conservative backbenches was notable.

Alegrias1 Mon 31-Jan-22 15:48:35

Go Theresa.

tidyskatemum Mon 31-Jan-22 15:49:11

Theresa May is sticking the boot in. At least one Tory has some dignity and integrity.

Alegrias1 Mon 31-Jan-22 15:55:05

Go Ian wink

Whitewavemark2 Mon 31-Jan-22 15:56:04

It makes you want to weep, our institutions are being trashed.

Petera Mon 31-Jan-22 15:57:59

Alegrias1

Go Ian wink

..and he is going smile

Whitewavemark2 Mon 31-Jan-22 15:59:06

All those people who will be sacrificed on the alter of the great king Johnson.

Visgir1 Mon 31-Jan-22 16:03:09

I think Boris will be there until at least May, then it will depends on local elections. He won't fall on his sword!

MayBee70 Mon 31-Jan-22 16:03:10

I’ve never known anything like what’s happening in parliament at the moment….

Alegrias1 Mon 31-Jan-22 16:05:24

Is Fabricant drunk or does he always speak that way?

Whitewavemark2 Mon 31-Jan-22 16:08:41

He doesn’t intend to publish the report does he?
