Apparently Prince Andrew’s accuser has lost the photograph of her and PA together. He has always maintained it’s fake and his legal team want it be examined.

Does anyone else find it odd that a photograph that has been kept for years has now suddenly been lost?

Peasblossom Tue 15-Feb-22 14:27:38

I have a devious and cynical mind?

25Avalon Tue 15-Feb-22 14:30:38

Just because we don’t like PA and think he’s a bit of a slime ball doesn’t make him guilty. I’ve never been happy about the photo - it just didn’t seem quite right. Why not ask Maxwell? She’s in it too.

JaneJudge Tue 15-Feb-22 14:31:15

she hasn't said she has lost it, she said it isn't in her possession confused was it ever hers in the first place?

Elegran Tue 15-Feb-22 14:33:57

Smileless2012

But cannot be used in evidence if it's been 'lost' Elegran or if PA's legal team haven't had the opportunity to verify its authenticity.

I would think that would be the case Peasblossom as even in a civil case evidence is given under oath.

Not in formal evidence, but I can't imagine that anyone hasn't seen it already, so it will be in the back of their minds - and, as someone said, PA's lawyers won't have a chance to have it examined and then use the findings in their evidence.

Peasblossom Tue 15-Feb-22 14:34:46

Well her lawyers had access to it previously. Presumably they can get it again.

Who brought out the yacht one? Do we know

AFAIK I think it was Lady Victoria Harvey. I’m sure she lives in the US and has always had a bit of a reputation. That one does look fake.

Elegran Tue 15-Feb-22 14:35:14

Unless, of course, they have already had it examined and have decided not to use it.

luluaugust Tue 15-Feb-22 14:36:32

How convenient.

Boz Tue 15-Feb-22 14:41:04

They could both be photo shopped. In any case, this will muddy the waters. What other evidence does she have? It could come down to who you believe in a Court case.

In a civil trial the burden of proof isn't the same as in a criminal case, the fact finder has to e convinced that the case is more than 50% possible www.law.cornell.edu/wex/preponderance_of_the_evidence

Atqui Tue 15-Feb-22 15:13:28

Wow that is weird. Can anyone put both photos together on here?

Peasblossom Tue 15-Feb-22 15:14:33

That’s an interesting link.

I see that the credibility of witnesses is an important factor. So a faked photo would be really important then?

There’s also a little bit about how foreign laws apply in cases brought in America, which didn’t go into detail but I think that could muddy the waters too.

trisher Tue 15-Feb-22 15:25:00

I think given that PA had such public links with Epstein even after his conviction and Maxwell was found guilty he is going to have to find something really substantial to disprove the allegations. One things certain if he gives evidence, based on hs TV performance, I'd say he's had it!

Grandnana Tue 15-Feb-22 15:32:34

My granddaughter can draw better hands than the one in that yacht photo ?

Peasblossom Tue 15-Feb-22 15:39:51

Yes, that’s why I’m suspicious of where it came from.

The thing is trisher her allegations are very time and place specific. If it were proved she faked her main source of evidence for one of them, would that be enough to cast doubt on her other allegations?

Germanshepherdsmum Tue 15-Feb-22 15:45:23

Socking great wedge driven through her credibility I’d say. And remember that in the Maxwell case she wasn’t called as a witness due to questionable credibility.

chelseababy Tue 15-Feb-22 16:10:02

Just seen they have reached a settlement in principle, bbc news tv

Anniebach Tue 15-Feb-22 16:10:45

They have reached a settlement, out of court, he is paying a
substantial sum to her charity

Germanshepherdsmum Tue 15-Feb-22 16:11:13

Just heard PA and VG have agreed a settlement in principle. And she said she would never agree to that. Wonder if the missing photo changed her mind?

tickingbird Tue 15-Feb-22 16:11:51

Hmm…the plot thickens!

Germanshepherdsmum Tue 15-Feb-22 16:12:31

Sorry I was writing when others were posting. I didn’t think the details had been agreed or made public Annie.

Smileless2012 Tue 15-Feb-22 16:15:06

It certainly does tickingbird.

Curlywhirly Tue 15-Feb-22 16:21:32

Well, if he's come to an agreement (albeit in principle at the moment) doesn't that indicate that he did 'have relations' her?

Whitewavemark2 Tue 15-Feb-22 16:23:35

Interesting comments published by Windsor.

There must have been huge pressure on him to settle before the Queens platinum year starts.

Good at least we won’t have to see or read about such an unpleasant character any more.

If you read the comments they don’t deny it, and in fact appear to accept that there was trafficking etc. by Epstein.
