Totally outrageous, misogynistic so called news item in the dreaded DM today.

Senior Tories have accused Angela Raynor of distracting our buffoon Prime Minister by crossing and uncrossing her legs - à la Sharon Stone - in Prime Minister's question time.

Can they sink any lower???

Yet another disgusting example of the true mind sets of the guffawing Tories. They're a disgrace yet again.

CvD66

Think - what if she had maybe 6 or is it 7 children by different partners, cavorted with a male pole dancer, left her husband when he was ill to shack up with a man 20 years her junior and then had two more children? How would the men's reaction be to that?

Who are you talking about, CvD66

There can’t be anyone like that in a senior position, can there?

MissAdventure Tue 26-Apr-22 01:11:05

Nope.
As if we would ever, ever allow that, with our great judgement.

To refer to a person as common, mdon't think I ever have, is to say they are not well mannered and tasteless. For example, you don't attend meetings with your skirt up yo your pants or boobs out for all to see, that shouts look at me. The focus is on your legs or your boobs. As a former wearer of the tiniest mini skirt, I would never have gone to a a business meeting, see a solicitor etc or any formal occasion dressed like that.To be taken seriously present yourself accordingly. I would never employ a guy in shorts, open shirt to the waist, his medallions flashing. Not an an image most people would appreciate.Bit fed up with all these women whinging about equal rights we have it. If you encounter it tackle it.

Well really!
Lumpy crotches now!!!
My delicate sensibilities can't take much more!

Sorry to have upset your sensibilities MisAdventure. Try smelling salts , they work wonders when having the vapours!

We need more mps who have the decency to keep their lumpy bits to themselves, like Mr. Snooze Mogg , pictured here, displaying his intelligence and enthusiasm.

OK that had me laughing out loud.!

My mother knew what ‘common’ meant. Eating in the street, ditto smoking, going out the house with curlers in and best of all, being no better than you ought to be.

I have my own modern view of what common means. It is not Angela Rayner

I think it's been long known that the British Government hates women.

MissAdventure Tue 26-Apr-22 09:50:22

I think "they" and that includes more than the government, don't like women who get above their station in life.

Interesting Wikipedia entry for the journalist who wrote the original MoS article. smile

James Heappey while speaking calmly about Ukraine this morning on BBC became angry when Angela Rayner was mentioned.
He sent his apologies to 'Ange' for the comment made about her and said it is up to men to stop this mysogenistic behaviour.

Whitewavemark2 Tue 26-Apr-22 11:10:04

Now I’m furious??

Rayner told Lorraine this morning that she is wearing trousers to avoid judgement.

MissAdventure Tue 26-Apr-22 11:15:04

Bloody hell..
What a sorry state of affairs..

I really, Really hope that she has chosen to do this on purpose, to emphasise the disgraceful misogyny of the original story, and not because she genuinely feels she "should".

GillT57 Tue 26-Apr-22 11:23:07

Oh dear, just popped in this morning and I see my previous post has been deleted. Oh well. Personally, I would like to see Angela Rayner turn up and put a tartan blanket over her knees.

Perhaps it would be better placed over johnsons big fat head.

Iam64 Tue 26-Apr-22 11:27:03

Miss A ???

All the women in the HoC should stage some sort of visual protest.

It seems to me that the locker room culture is out of hand and needs stopping in its tracks.

While there is a libertine at the helm there is little hope of decent behaviour.

MissAdventure Tue 26-Apr-22 11:37:17

Oh yes, I think a day of quiet unity by the women in the house of commons is an excellent idea.

The saddest thing is that there would probably be women who would not agree to do it.

It's been suggested that they all turn up wearing mini skirts... grin

That would be brilliant!!
