How busy are the local election stations...do you feel weary of voting when most are unknown candidates or, you vote for the same old....I had a long list to choose from ....

I’m one of those.
Cromwell speaks for me.
Ye are grown intolerable odious to the whole nation. You were deputed here by the people to get grievances redressed etc.

Bayswater -Labour gain from Tory.

Gillycats Fri 06-May-22 09:02:57

We didn’t have voting here, annoyingly. We have a Lib Dem MP and Lib Dem councillors and they’re all a complete waste of space. If they spent half as much time doing what they’re supposed to be doing instead of whinging about the Tories we might actually get some progress with local issues. It’s very frustrating.

Let’s see if this prediction is correct ?

A Lib Dem source tells me they "are 99% sure" the Tories will lose control of West Oxfordshire

The local authority area includes David Cameron's former constituency of Witney

Off now to do stuff.

Perhaps someone else can take the baton?

Isn't it your job to find out about the candidates? I've always felt it was.

None of our council votes have been counted yet. I do wonder why we need to rush them out.

The Conservatives have lost control of West Oxfordshire District Council for the first time in 22 years.

Two cabinet members, including the authority's long-serving deputy leader, lost their seats to Labour and Liberal Democrat candidates respectively.

Seems Keir Starmer is losing votes outside of London. The Red Wall don’t seem to want Labour back? On these results they have “no chance of winning a GE”.

Whitewavemark2 Fri 06-May-22 10:31:50

Labour Gain Compton Ward!

is now #plymouth’s first ever trans councillor and the ward’s first ever Labour councillor! What an achievement! Congratulations Dylan

Just count the seats Tories are losing to whoever Urmstongan. That is all that matters, at this point, to many voters.

Interesting by Montgomerie. In many ways, the worst result for both the UK and the Tories might be for Johnson to just about have done enough to keep limping on, with a paralysed gov’t constantly on the back foot. ~AA

DaisyAnne Fri 06-May-22 10:40:53

The Conservatives have -120 seats overall. No other party has a negative number.

This is what I want to see at this stage - anyone but Boris votes. Starmer and Ed Davey can then, individually move forward and build on this.

DaisyAnne Fri 06-May-22 10:43:06

Johnson is a wrecking ball and one with no sense of that being a bad thing. He will go on wrecking lives until someone stops him and takes his toy (the government) away from him.

Wandsworth
