Just seen on Twitter that it’s estimated that the no confidence votes are over 150

Maudi Mon 06-Jun-22 18:18:44

Does anyone else think this vote is all about Brexit?

GrannyGravy13 Mon 06-Jun-22 18:22:49

There are rumours that so called arch remainers have been working behind the scenes, but Mr.Johnson has played into their hands by providing so much ammunition.

Blimey quoting Dorries is scrapping the barrel a bit!

Just look at those voting against Johnson, there are quite a few arch brexiters who have declared.

It actually goes right across all the party factions.

My MP has just tweeted, "I’m supporting the Prime Minister today. My constituents this weekend asked for stability and a focus on issues like the cost of living, not a change of PM. He has rightly apologised for mistakes made. But, from the vaccine rollout to Ukraine, he got the big calls right."

I wonder which page of the handbook that was from.

They are all saying exactly the same thing.

Mine is saying the same, that’s my vote lost!

That however is who put that story out in the media.

According to Dorries we are also at war with Ukraine. ?

Wheniwasyourage Mon 06-Jun-22 18:34:27

Our MP said that he would make his position clear after listening to what Mr Johnson was saying to the assembled Tory MPs. I don't know why he couldn't have decided before that, but I don't think he's very bright.

Oh, he's decided to vote against Mr J. Good for him, at last!

She may be saying that now, but it has been on Twitter and other sources since before Christmas.

I note that Smogg considered the total against May at 117 was a very bad result.

I wait with baited breath.

Yes but it isn’t true is it?

Maudi Mon 06-Jun-22 18:42:25

What's with this silly Dorries and Smog crap you should like some school girl (perhaps you are)smile

There is in all probability a group of anti-Brexit MPs who would like to see the back of Mr.Johnson.

If there isn’t it doesn’t say a lot for their beliefs /politics?

I’m sure there is, but look at those that have declared so far, it is across all the factions, which in a way makes it more difficult for the Johnson camp after he wins the vote tonight as his position is very much weakened because from now on he can never be sure of support in policy vote. There only needs 40 backbenchers to vote against and if the numbers are at or above 100 then he is in trouble.

Apparently May turn up in full evening dress. Dressed to kill????

GrannyGravy13 Mon 06-Jun-22 18:59:15

Ah Mr.Stevens of The Daily Mail WWM2 ?????

growstuff Mon 06-Jun-22 19:01:18

David Davis, Steve Baker and William Wragg are hardly "arch remainers"! hmm

Esspee Mon 06-Jun-22 19:01:50

Love that Theresa May turned up to vote in a ball gown. ?

No doubt she has a later engagement but I am sure she saw the humour in it.

Casdon Mon 06-Jun-22 19:06:23

The Telegraph has just reported that John Lamont has quit as Liz Truss's parliamentary private secretary (PPS).

He is a Scottish Tory MP who has followed Douglas Ross - the Scottish Conservatives leader, who said he voted no confidence earlier today.

You are correct

Chocolatelovinggran Mon 06-Jun-22 19:51:53

Oldnproud, I am impressed that your MP may have taken note of Gransnet posts.
My MP has been reluctant to engage with me on the leader of his party. I shall watch his vote with interest: he hasn't heard the last of me!
