If you had to choose the Prime Minister from among the Gransnet posters, who would you choose?

Would you choose that poster based on personality or on political persuasion?

Oh dear! My neck's on the block here, as I don't look at the names. I only read the comments.

For 2 nights a year, midnight is fine, 1am on New Years- and basta!

I’m sitting here waiting for the name of my favoured one to come up because I can’t remember!! So - MaizieD or Volver or MawtheMerrier. And anyone else who would ban the sale of fireworks to individuals.

Oh dear, I’m back on the fence then Dickens since you don’t want the job. Can’t say I blame you really. Who would want it? Good job there people who are egocentrical enough to want it, because really, when you think about it, anyone who actually wants the job of PM must have an absolutely huge ego. I can’t help thinking our Gransnetters would make a mulch better job of it all than those who really do hold the job (I’m not pointing at anyone in particular here, just the whole blooming lot of them.)

I'm with you (I also love to watch Irish Dancing smile).

It's a bit of a spin of the coin for me - MOnica (such a level head) and MaizieD - a practical head and an understanding of how an economy can / could be run for the benefit of society as a whole. volver would be a good Speaker (but she also has other qualifications) - and I'm always impressed with Maw. There are others...

Fireworks - at this time of the year, such a pain for so many, especially those with pets and babies - or those who are acutely ill or suffering from dementia, not to mention perhaps families with autistic children.
Where I live, it seems there's always someone who's discovered a couple of fireworks left in the bottom of the box in the kitchen around 1.30 in the morning on Bonfire Night; then another family who decide to have their firework display the night before, or the night after - or even the following weekend.

But, as a child, I loved them. Perhaps I'm just an old kill-joy.

Sorry, I can't remember her nom de plume but she was/ is a solicitor and always talks sense.
Otherwise M0nica or Dickens and maybe Volver would spice things up a bit!😊🥳👍

Order, order!!

Oh, I could take to this!! Needs more spice though 😉

DutchDoll I think you mean GermanShepherdsMum I hope she is OK, not seen her post for a while.

Just to be absolutely sure Germanshepherdsmum
I haven't seen her post recently either.

Another poster started a thread yesterday with a very similar name which was confusing.

I was wondering if she was OK, too. Hope she's just having a break from GN.

MissAdventure gets my vote. She comes over as knowledgeable, savvy, has lots of common sense and a great sense of humour.

Thanks - I was going to PM her. It's always worrying when a regular stops posting.

Monica is a fair and balanced poster who has common sense. So she has my confidence.
