If that is a true response from the organisers that 'babies would not understand what was being performed' it is one if the most inappropriate responses I have ever seen. The fact that babies dont understand what is happening should never be used as a defense.

Of course it’s totally inappropriate why would you want your baby toddler to watch a strange man with his dangling bits dangling and an upside down woman showing off her fluff not to even go down the road of bondage

Rather be taking my babies to feed the ducks like normal mothers and fathers

In this case the parents.

I have no problem with drag artists story times but this is just pathetic.

Never mind the babies and toddlers being exposed to this, which should be done in private if that is one’s life choice, any parent who chooses to actually watch this in public, should not be including their children in such an adult themed audience. Just wrong.

Did the parents sit through the whole show, or did they walk out before the end? I know which I would have done!

Worrying that any parent would take a baby to see this.

Not much different? I doubt it VS. Seems to be justified as daytime entertainment for mothers who can hold a pint in one hand and a baby in the other. Words fail me.

Sounds like circuses have changed since I last went then...

It was arranged by new mums. It was initially a Christmas show. It was popular and more events have taken place subsequently. Apparently booked out.

This is what the company said:
As cabaret professionals each of our shows are specifically curated to the audiences advertised. Shows for the very young babies - are more aimed at the parents - new mums on maternity leave - providing a much needed "night out during the day".

It's come to our attention that people are sharing particular images and videos of one of our events that was specifically curated for the very young babies and parents.. not for "children of all ages" as implied.

I'm afraid I'm with Violet on this one.

And yes, I have watched films with a nursing baby on my knee that I know I wouldn't have wanted an older child to see.
I went to a play in America (sitting in a soundproofed area) with a baby-in-arms. I would not have taken my 3 year old to.
Cabaret is not "my thing" but I don't see why others can't enjoy it.

When it comes to safeguarding tiny children, is it not necessary to make judgements? What might they arrange next for their afternoon entertainment, a strip show?

Utterly, utterly appalled - what kind of parent would do this and normalise it.

I just don't understand why a mother would want to watch this with her baby in toe.

I found the comment by the company odd curated for the very young babies and parents, surely that should have been curated for parents who bring very young babies.

The fact that young mums have got nothing better to do with their beautiful babies than watch men and women replaying bondage scenes and people doing acrobats in skimpy costumes, beggars believe
And then liken it to taking them to a circus or a film I give up 😢

You just have visited some very strange Circuses VS

We didn’t take any of our children or GC to the circus as babies /toddlers because we knew that loud noises were not good for their ears.
