Well, neither do the Borders. If you take an average. I'm sure that there are lots of people in the Borders that do, just as there are lots of people in Shetland and Orkney that do.

BTW it's not independence from England, it's independence from the United Kingdom.

Being a member of the EU doesn't mean you're not independent. Many leavers believed that and look where that's got us.
