The UN is inviting countries to add tangible or intangible examples of our cultural heritage to a list they are compiling.

So we can add examples like Pantomime, Morris dancing, folk lore etc.

I think that I would add English literature -

Ok WWM2 didn’t realise it was a tongue in cheek post
Right
Moaning , whinging, eccentricity, taking the mickey out of ourselves, apologising for everything, comedy (only understandable to ourselves), generosity, and the biggest one of them all not understood by many others queueing remember at the queens funeral a queue for the queue was formed, it had a life of it own. I loved it

I will add for Wales

Castles, Welsh Cakes and Male Voice Choirs

But most of the castles were built by the Normans and Anglo-Normans to try to control the Welsh.

The OP was a request for examples of our cultural heritage, and I think we discussed what makes us English on another thread. I added some very English events like Chelsea Flower Show, Ascot, The Boat Race, Wimbledon Tennis, Henley Regatta, The Grand National, and more.

Then there's our musical heritage, famous 20th century popular music, The Beatles, The Stones, The Kinks, and more. And literature, Shakespeare, Dickens and so on.

The first steam train was invented in Wales in 1804. Quite an achievement, along with several other inventions.

Really, there are so many. As a country we have always punched well above our weight, probably due to our cold wet weather. We don't lie around sleeping all day, we keep busy inventing things, writing books, music etc.

I hope you don’t find it difficult to believe, but I’ve been told our British manners. Apparently we are very polite.

We sat next to a Spanish couple at the panto last week. Peter Pan at the Palladium. Brilliant but those two were totally bemused. Definitely a British mentality required.
The coconutters and other morris dancers. Totally daft but fun.

Fish and chips isn’t really a U.K. dish it has been appropriated from other cultures I believe Portugal and also from Jewish immigrants and adapted

maybe fish and chips with curry sauce and/or gravy then?

I'd go with all of those, too.

With the addition of Jane Austen - Pride and Prejudice is recognised and enjoyed all over the world.

Brought to the UK by a Jewish immigrant, in 1860. He opened the first chippie in London, copied by a chappie in Mossley in 1863. I'm sure they would be happy to see their food absorbed into British culture. We thank him for it. Since been enhanced by our take up of the dish. Cultural appropriation, really. By the way, we were eating spuds boiled and fried in butter way back in 1660. Yes chips. According to we love food.com.
