Islamaphobia is getting out of control

We have Braverman and Anderson stirring up the most awful Islamaphobia.

I don’t think that we have ever had British MPs saying such racist and hateful rhetoric since Mosely. They are being backed by the worst sort of editorship. It is so redolent of the 20s and 30s.

Jewish and Christian leaders are calling for it to stop, as well as Tories who see this as a disaster for their party, as it will never ever end well.

Rory Stewart

This idea that “London is in the grip of Islamists” is deluded and it’s awful - an obsession that thrives among a bizarre and dangerous coalition. No conservative MP should ever be spouting this stuff.

I think if Ofcom were to have a go at Neil Oliver he would show them this article from a respected medical journal library.

It’s Anderson we are talking about? Not sure where Oliver enters it?

"Currently, it is unclear whether there is a true association between the vaccines and malignancy or inflammatory response exacerbating underlying malignancy. This case highlights the necessity to investigate and be aware of such rare, adverse complications that may be associated with the novel COVID-19 vaccinations to guide physicians in their differential diagnosis"

The same as many other acquired illnesses after/during COVID.

I have had three vaccinations for COVID. I have had COVID twice. As a result of the last time I had it in March 2023 (From Spain) I have hearing loss in my left ear. It nearly always feels like there's a blockage and like it needs to "pop" as if on an aeroplane. I already have hearing loss in both ears. So which is to blame or has my HL just been exacerbated? Nobody knows. But I'd rather be vaccinated and mildly inconvenienced than 6 foot under.

I believe they mentioned it because of the link to the article I posted.... Digressing from the point. To which I probably shouldn't have replied 🙄

Whitewavemark2 Sat 24-Feb-24 19:21:47

Oh sorry missed that🙄

No worries. Nothing like a good conspiracy theory to keep a thread going, eh?! 😛

Glorianny you were not truthful re the video of Rachel Reeves, if as you say the women were canvassing for Rachel
Why ask of their constituency and why the reply ‘I am Muslim,
a tax payer and I live in this country,

Keep refusing to acknowledge the truth

I haven't a clue why the women replied as she did.

However, Reeves was not out of order to ask whether she was a constituent. She told her that she had surgeries for constituents. She doesn't have to reply to people who aren't constituents.

Maybe she doesn't but she could have made a suggestion about who the woman should approach.
But that isn't the real problem. The real problem is the assumption, because they are wearing headscarves and are Muslim that all the women present are involved in the questioning. They obviously are not, if you watch to the very end when the woman asking the questions asks them why they are supporting Rachel. Some of them are wearing red badges and are canvassing with Rachel Reeves.

Anniebach Sat 24-Feb-24 22:24:24

One woman standing behind Rachel is wearing a red badge,
there are three women and a photographer facing Rachel.

growstuff Sat 24-Feb-24 22:25:47

I agree with you Glorianny. Not only that, but it was the same woman's voice throughout. She didn't sound very threatening and her concern for fellow human beings sounded genuine.

Anniebach Sat 24-Feb-24 22:28:30

Three women face Rachel, one asks questions but speaks of
we not I .

Richard Tice says that Anderson’s heart is in the right place: sums up both of them doesn’t it…

Indeed. Both awful excuses for human beings. Just my opinion, of course.

You replied to a previous post where a piece by Neil Oliver was linked. Hence my post above.

Funnily enough I watched GBNews for a bit last evening for the first time.

It had Oliver fronting the programme. I can’t believe that he believes some of the stuff he was saying. He is certainly an oddball. He should stick to history, much more his line, and he can conspiracy away to his hearts content.

CoolCoco Sun 25-Feb-24 07:45:40

Anyone who believes Khan has “given away London to his mates”. Should look at the party who have supported hedge fund managers, Russian oligarchs and property developers - they are the ones who are making profits off the back of London. No evidence that Islamicists are controlling London - it’s the wealthy elite Tory donors.

Kandinsky Sun 25-Feb-24 08:04:06

So wonderful Mr Khan is the only politician never to do any favours for his mates.
hahaha.

Whatever he’s doing. as a Londoner I can assure you he’s the most unpopular mayor we’ve ever had. Christ knows who voted for him. Oh hang on……maybe it’s his mates?

😄😄😄 let’s keep this at least a bit real!!

The polls show that Kahn is on course to win the biggest majority any mayor has ever won!

Lucky to have so many mates!

maddyone Sun 25-Feb-24 08:12:32

He’s unpopular with me and I don’t even live in London. My husband went to pick our son and daughter in law up from Heathrow last week. He had to pay the ULEZ charge because Heathrow has been brought into the ULEZ area, alt it’s a good way out of London. DH was not pleased. He couldn’t take my car, which wouldn’t attract ULEZ because he said it wouldn’t fit the luggage in (long haul flight.)

Kandinsky Sun 25-Feb-24 08:13:13

You said it!

I wonder why Khan is on course to win the biggest majority than any other mayor has ever won.

Because he is popular? He is doing stuff Londoners like? He isn’t corrupt?

Casdon Sun 25-Feb-24 08:19:18

Most likely it’s because he’s Labour, and Londoners are disillusioned with the Tory Government. We’ll know if that’s likely to be the case if it’s mirrored in the other local elections.

Kandinsky Sun 25-Feb-24 08:20:35

Because he is popular? He is doing stuff Londoners like? He isn’t corrupt

He definitely isn’t popular & he’s not doing stuff Londoners like. I live here.

He gets voted in because London has a very high Muslim population - and they vote him in.

Whitewavemark2 Sun 25-Feb-24 08:20:47

maddyone

I expect that you would feel very different about the ULEZ charge if you had young children suffering because of car pollution every day of their lives.

To the rest of us it is a mild irritant to a young child it is their life.

He definitely isn’t popular & he’s not doing stuff Londoners like. I live here.

He gets voted in because London has a very high Muslim population - and they vote him in.

15% of Londoners follow the muslim faith.

That leaves 85% of Londoners who are not.

So your maths do not add up I'm afraid.
